Great overnight stay if flying in/out of Athens Airport

It's very close to the ATH airport but still had a small beach town area to enjoy the evening as I did not want to go into downtown Athens or stay in the airport hotels. The property was charming and lovely, like staying with a family member at their home. The AC was good and the bed clean/comfortable. Uber to/from ATH was about $25 USD each way.

When I arrived, I rang the doorbell and someone said they would meet me with the keys. Took about 5-10 minutes to meet me. It wasn't as clear when booking.

Peaceful and enjoyable accommodation with wonderful hosts!

We had taken advantage of the paid pick up (and drop off) service that is offered by Castle by the Sea which made things so much easier when arriving at the airport. Host Natalie gave clear and easy instructions for where we needed to go to meet Vangeli the Co-Owner/Driver. Both Natalie and Vangeli are super lovely, helpful and friendly. Both were more than happy to have a chat, answer any questions and give suggestions and directions for where to go for anything we wanted/needed. Our garden bungalow was spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean and tidy. There are plenty of cooking facilities available too. It's an easy 15-20min walk to the beach, restaurants and shops, with a mini market just down the road from the accommodation. We had a really lovely, relaxing stay - thanks so much Natalie and Vangeli!!

The design and furnishing of this property are astonishing. Well worth the visit!

The architecture, design and furnishing of this "Castle" are extraordinarily unusual. I can't tell if it used to be the home of a very wealthy, eccentric person or was built for a movie set or is some kind of parody. It's well worth staying here just for the experience. It's truly astonishing. Our room itself was spacious and well equipped, and we had access to a well equipped kitchen and the most amazing lounge area. I wish we had more time to explore the grounds and property.

The location is not as convenient to the airport as I had expected, but that is more the fault of Google Maps than anything. The beach is a short drive with lots of tavernas and cafes.

A space for all needs...

The property is interesting and relaxed. The studio is spacious and there's almost everything you need. Host is wonderful and the cats are very friendly (when they see you with food... Prepare to share.) The shuttle to the airport is cheap and quick.

Unsafe experience with a horror twist.

The garden is beautiful and the owner was friendly and helped arrange a taxi with other travelers.

Poor review alert with a little horror twist. The location it self is not well maintained and can feel even dangerous for some travelers. We booked "Villa With a Garden" which turned out to be a shared house with a private bedroom and bathroom. Everything else, like garden, kitchen, guestroom and entrance is shared with tourists staying in second floor. The lighting is very white and not cosy at all and gives creepy vibes, like staying overnight illegally in a museum. Sadly, happened the worst and during the night someone entered in our rooms, leaving all doors open. We had locked the doors with with a little hook that can be easily accessed from the other side, which maybe grabbed someone's attention and made him flip it over and enter the rooms. This felt incredibly unsafe and gross, and made us leave the location ASAP. After approaching the owner with the situation, she seemed interested in helping, but after talking with cleaners and looking into cameras, nothing much was discovered so it stayed unsolved.

Castle by the Sea was a unique place to stay that met all our needs.

Natalie arranged the shuttle pick up at the airport and was with the driver and gave us the keys once we got to the hotel. In a way, she checked us in while getting to her hotel so we could go directly to our room. Natalie was very prompt in answering my emails and made me reassured that all was set up. She was very kind.

Several steps to our room which made it difficult with heavy and large luggage. I will say the driver helped us with that. The keys to our room was tricky to open.

Best place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.

Our second stay here and we were welcomed like old friends! Everything is excellent and Natalia is a wonderful host. The place is calm and clean and offers incredible value. If you are driving there are lots of places to visit within a short rive and the airport is 20 minutes away. This is our first choice when we need to stay close to Athens. In fact we will go back in September.
