Albatross Beach Front Villas

Sehr gute Betreuung durch Donna, die jederzeit erreichbar ist und sofort unkompliziert Hilfestellung leistet. Sowohl der Check-in als auch der Check-out problemlos. Fliegengitter an allen Türen - top! Super sauber, Erstausstattung Kaffee, Zucker, Salz, usw. vorhanden. Küchengeräte funktionieren tadellos, Kühlschrank mit Eisfach. Pool wirklich wie auf den Bildern -einfach mega (zum Schwimmen!), tolle Liegen mit dicken Auflagen und direkter Zugang zum Meer. Absolute Ruhe und Entspannung sind garantiert, der Strand so gut wie leer und der Zugang zum Meer ist super möglich (Badeschuhe empfehlenswerrt-da Kiesel). Die vorhandene Außendusche wurde von uns viel genutzt. Gennadi in 3 Minuten mit dem Auto (unbedingt zu empfehlen) erreichbar mit vielen Restaurants, Bars und gelegentlich Live-Musik.

Die Bäder sind relativ klein und es gibt bereits deutliche Abnutzungsspuren. Das dritte Schlafzimmer im UG (wie bereits beschrieben ohne Fenster/Tageslicht) diente uns als Ausweichbad (da im EG kein WC vorhanden) und Bügel-/Waschzimmer - dafür war es perfekt geeignet. Insgesamt erscheint das Haus auf den Bildern größer.

The 3 villas are named after species of albatross - Royal, Great and the one we stayed in, Laysan - and are situated just south of the small town of Gennadi on the south east coast of Rhodes. We were greeted at Laysan, late in the evening, by Donna who was friendly and efficient in showing us around the villa and had kindly ordered pizzas to be delivered to us by a local restaurant. There are 4 floors in this particular villa - a large basement bedroom with en-suite (but no window, so no view); kitchen/dining/living room on the ground floor; a double bedroom, a small bedroom with bunk beds and a very small family bathroom on the first floor; a small double bedroom with tiny en-suite bathroom, but an amazing balcony with a jacuzzi on the top floor. Please be aware that there are several cats who live around the villas and like to make friends with the holidaymakers. Luckily we are cat lovers so were happy to feed and fuss them, but some people may not like this. Gennadi is a short drive away from the villa and has a small supermarket, bakery, fruit shop and several good tavernas and bars. We hired a car for the week and were able to get to many of the tourist attractions in Rhodes, but if you are looking forward to a totally peaceful and relaxing holiday, then you would probably be happy to stay at the villa which has a swimming pool and several loungers and is just a few metres from the almost deserted pebble beach and clear sea.

The upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms are very small and the bathrooms throughout the villa have (opaque) glass doors which I personally find very off-putting!

Die Lage direkt am Strand, die Gastgeberin Donna ist ein Schatz! Sie ist immer da, falls man Fragen hat. Wir haben uns sofort willkommen gefühlt. Abends sind uns immer Hirsche im Garten besuchen gekommen. Es war sehr idyllisch!

We absolutely loved the villa itself — beautiful, clean, well-equipped, and in an amazing location right on the sea. The staff responded to everything; everything was truly perfect.
