Joubarbe Residence

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Joubarbe Residence was exactly what I needed. The room was clean, comfortable, private, and well-equipped with a microwave, kettle, bar fridge, iron, travel hairdryer, and reliable hot shower. It was serviced regularly, and the peaceful surroundings with beautiful views made it the perfect place to unwind. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout my stay. Nicole was an exceptional hostess who went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. She provided excellent recommendations for exploring Mauritius, including Port Louis, nearby beaches, and the best bus and Metro routes, making it easy to get around. She even arranged my early morning airport transfer. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable stay with outstanding hospitality, I highly recommend Joubarbe Residence.

The only minor challenge was that Uber drivers sometimes struggled to locate the property on their maps, so I occasionally had to walk to the main road to meet them. During my stay, the directional signs at the main road had also been painted over, which made finding the residence a little more difficult. Other than that, everything was excellent.

It was easy to find the property. The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable.

I stayed in apartment on ground floor facing yard wall hence it was rather dark and didn't have a lot of natural light

For the price, great location and surroundings. Nicole, the owner, is quick to communicate. Aircon is great, hot shower, comfy bed.

The room where I stay would need a bit more love. My room is attached to the room next to me - I can hear their normal conversation vividly. It is a bit challenging to organise / plan pick up or drop off every day to commute from the mountain to Moka if on a rigid business trip.
