We loved the location, remarkably close to the beach and the sea. From the amenities around - Lidl and a train station is just around the corner.
Down by the desk there is a station where you can heat up your food and/or make coffee. We haven't used it but we have seen others doing so and it smelled amazing.
The rooms are cozy, even if small. The blind/shutter covers all the light so you can get a really good sleep (even if the light is a problem for you).
Not the slightest problem with the check-in.
Not all of the stuff speaks english but it didn't cause too much of an inconvenience - besides our broken-french conversation when being really rushed to do the check-out. We were going to leave the room few minutes before the time limit stated in the booking and yet we were being rushed since 11 am. I understand that obviously the staff wants the room empty as soon as possible to have it cleaned before the new guests arrival but if you are going to rush me, just change the check-out times to an earlier hour. That day we needed a place to stay as long as possible because we had a late night flight home so we wanted to chill and relax in the morning so that we wouldn't be falling on our faces before getting into another hotel after flying back to our country.
The other inconvenience, for us not too big one, the bathroom is quite narrow so take it into consideration when booking. Obviously the pictures are on the site and they don't lie, it is quite small.
You could hear the neighbours in the evenings but it can always happen in any hotel with thinner walls. Sadly, there also has been a noticeable cigarette smell in the hall even though the hotel is not smoking friendly. That obviously goes mostly to the guests' responsibility and not as much to hotel's.

The location is perfect, the hotel has a car park: an amazing feature if you are traveling to the Riviera by car and want to explore nearby towns and villages. Plus, it is only a 10 minutes walk to the no-fuss but perfect Villeneuve beach and to the local train station.
The pillows are very uncomfortable, plus the air conditioning splitter was very dusty and dirty and it was uncomfortable to breathe after letting it on for a couple of hours.
