Quiet area away from the party. Garden well kept and pretty

When we arrived we had problems with our door not being able to lock. And the balcony door fell off the door frame. Staff were able to fix it after asking twice. The room its self is ok, however hardly any space for 2 people. Wasn’t worth what we paid. The stairs to get up are horrendous, especially in the heat. So would recommend a phone in the rooms to be able to contact reception. We booked for my birthday expecting a lot better and it spoiled it.

Favorite place on the island

This is the only place I stay on Koh Phi Phi and I visit every winter for 2 weeks. Good value for the money as places here have gotten expensive. In a relatively quiet corner of the village, especially lower level rooms which we prefer. Everything in the village is within walking distance. Great hosts.

Some noise from the awful Slinky bar which you unfortunately can here everywhere on the village almost until 2 or 3 in the morning. If you get a lower level cabin it's not too bad.

Amazing- would definitely stay again

Amazing location very near the main area but out abit so not loud at all, the view from the apartment was spectacular - right below viewpoint 1, pool was so cute and got lots of sun, the family that run this hotel were so helpful and lovely- brought our baggage to the hotel and back to the port !! Amazing

More loungers needed by the pool but can see that it’s limited for space, aircon in the room wasn’t the best and room warm because in direct sunlight a lot of the day but can get over this for the value for money and the view!!

Perfect for 2 nights

The place is a bit old, and you should be ready for some stair‑climbing, but it didn’t bother us at all. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful. They picked us up from the pier and took our bags straight to the room, and early check‑in wasn’t a problem either. The room also had a really nice view of the island.

Stayed only for 1 night in a stop for visiting phiphi islands; Someone from the hotel is waiting for you at pier when you arrive and it's 10-15 min walk from the pier to the location. Saw that they also help with the luggages;

our room was super basic and maybe outdated also with the bathroom; did not like the fact that the door of the cottage did not close tightly, leaving some space between the door and the door frame

Good value for money, clean, friendly and although very basic offered just what we wanted.

We loved our stay here at Uphill Cottage. The location was perfect, a fantastic view of the bay and across Phi Phi. The room was very basic, but gave us just what we needed as we only wanted a base to sleep. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help. We had an added bonus of being met off the ferry and all our luggage was escorted to the hotel. Phi Phi is a busy party island, but the location of the hotel is situated so that we did not hear any party sounds at night and we slept really well.

If you struggle with stairs you may not wish to stay at Uphill Cottage as the accommodation is 'Uphill'! Some of the stairs are very steep, however, the staff carried our luggage to our room without any effort! We did not mind the steps as we received a wonderful view when we arrived at our room.

Small but very clean rooms with hot shower and good views from the top bungalows. Staff are friendly and helpful. This is very good value for money.

There are a lot of steps up a steep incline. So the top units are only suitable for fit people and definitely not for anyone with mobility issues. You can hear the disco at night but that’s not the hotels fault.

The pool was nice, the staff were lovely and carried our very heavy bags up all of the stairs for us. Very accommodating when we wanted to extend. The room is basic but is expected with the price. Good views from the balcony.

Good location , run down facilities

The view was outstanding and a nice distance away from the town while still being close . There were lots of stairs but once you know , it’s fine . They offer a shuttle service for your bags which is fabulous and the people at the desk are more than helpful !

The property is extremely run down . There were ants all over the room , odd stains on the walls , the bathroom was dirty , rips in the sheets , the bed was broken and large gaps in the doors which encouraged mosquitos , lizards and other bugs in. If they just tided up their existing facilities this would be a five star establishment but be aware it is dirty . Considering the large fees you need to pay if anything is damaged , I’d be taking pictures before you stay in the room cause it’s really really run down . the noise from other rooms is also some of the worst I’ve heard you can hear literally everything

This property is in a great location. Close enough you can get to all the bars but also far enough away that you aren’t disturbed by noise on a night. Really clean and comfortable stay. Staff were extremely friendly.

Great value for a budget travelling.

The hotel is not far from the main centre. The view was not too bad. The bed was comfortable and clean. Surprisingly, the room was quiet. During my stay, it had been raining for a couple of days, so the stairs were slippery (be careful if you come during the rainy season or get a good pair of shoes).

Nice place to stay but still not as quiet as hoped

Great view from the upper cottages, nice little swimming pool, clean and comfortable room, lovely staff.

Slightly further out location (15 mins walk to center of town) doesn't help you escape the beach bar noise (and the higher up you go for a better a view, the more noisy it gets from beach bar noise). Stairs may put some people off but kept me fit without need for gym and good training for the Viewpoint! Swimming pool is a mosquito magnet (could do with mosquito coils) and can get dirty.

Staff was great, upgraded my room since it was not booked out. Pool was terrible, looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in months, and there are broken/loose tiles all over. A few sharp ones. There are some tiny living creatures swimming around in that pool.

BED BUGS! After the first two nights, despite the steps, we thought it was an unreal stay and couldn’t wait for more. Then a night of itching + no sleep came with no receptionist till 8am. Following this, we were moved rooms which seemed to be a little better but we couldn’t relax knowing what had gone on - still marked from the bites now. We got laundry done due to this and not wanting it to affect the rest of the trip and they still charged us - thought it could have been the least they can do. paid full price following this and no apology. Male staff excellent when needed suitcases taken up and down stairs, can’t fault them for that.

Staff were lovely and very helpful! The room was spacious and had a balcony which was nice. Location was okay, a bit of a walk from the pier but it was nice to be further away from noise etc.

There was a leak in our bathroom and we were provided with a bucket to catch the water which we had to keep changing or else the bathroom floor would be drenched and unsafe. I had rips in my sheets (not a big problem but still not great). The pool wasn’t very big and only 4 loungers to sit on.

Just perfect, my favorite place in Thailand so far!

Everything! The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the view was stunning! You get drinking water as well as beach towels for free. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful! They literally helped us with everything we needed. They even helped me get some really bad stains out of my skirt. The rooms are really clean, light and comfortable. It’s a 5 minute walk into the middle of the town, so it’s perfect! They even help bring your luggage from the pier to the hotel and back!

Nice comfortable stay for a fair price!

The room was big and lots of furniture to put our backpacks on. Very clean and good bed and airconditioning. The lady at the reception was very nice and helpful for booking trips and ferry/transfers.

We hd a room with a sea view but it was a lot of stairs to walk in the heat. However they did carry our luggage to our rooms for us.
