Hotel Oswaldo

A very nice, cosy and peaceful hotel, perfect for families and people who want peace. Spotlessly clean with comfortable bed and beautiful garden outside. The ownder, Mr Andras is extremely kind and helpful, and very generous I have to say. :) He will welcome you with complimentary drinks and two cute doggies who would be very happy to play with you. Parking is available and safe. I give an absolute 10 to this property and would totally recommend, as it is really worth the money. I stayed four nights and enjoyed all of them.

If you are looking for a genuine experience from a Budapest local who runs this family business, then this is the place for you. We were treated to a wonderfully friendly reception and service throughout and were treated to some wonderful traditional breakfasts throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed meeting their two small dogs, Maxi and Peewee. We were given adjoining rooms to cope with our group configuration (couple and child in one room and grandparent in second room). The rooms were fitted with AC which worked well during the summer heat and were quiet during the night which we wanted. Private parking spaces made this also a great base to start exploring the sights outside of Budapest. Getting to central Budapest was possible with a direct bus (25 min journey time), though one does have to walk 10 minutes to get to the bus stop. However, one should be aware that the hotel is located in a suburb of Budapest and so obviously lacks the architectural impressiveness of central Budapest but the Hotel itself feels like a relaxing Oasis from the buzz of the city.

The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. There is public transportation that takes you straight to Budapest city center. The rooms are big and the hotel offers everything for a comfortable stay.

I highly recommend this accommodation. The hosts are very kind, and their friendly little dogs PV and Max made our stay even more pleasant. Parking within the property is easy and hassle-free, and the terrace is a great place to relax. The accommodation is located in a quiet area in the southern part of Budapest. We stayed for one night, about an hour by tram from the city center. The host was very helpful and gave us useful advice on how to get to the city without a car. I would definitely recommend this place, and I send warm greetings to Max and PV.
