    We found staff didn't go out of there way to support us in regards to getting around Cairns whether it was by public transport etc. When I booked the room I did say we wanted a ground room cos of difficulty with stairs and we were given a room upstairs. The only room we were then given to us was very ordinary on ground floor after we said something. The young girl at reception showed us the room and said we would get noise from the cars as it faced the car park and we accepted it but all we heard was noise from linen trolleys, people going in & out , and general everyday noise from 6.30/7am. What we should have done was also check the bathroom out as it was full of mould (see pic) which is unacceptable to put a couple in there. I would say also the rooms certainly need updating n fresh color paint as quite dreary with beige color. A bit of color in the rooms would look alot better. This accommodation is more suited to back packers. Car parking within the grounds was basically first in best served! Did not have a lot of spaces considering the amount of rooms they have. Our 3 night stay was disappointing.

    How can a bar have no Vodka at the start of service on Sunday. Uncle Dan or Bobs was still open. Need too get this organised better and the organisation out of the kitchen needs improving also.

    Check in went smoothly, friendly staff. Room was upgraded to family room although only 2 of us. Room had air-conditioning on so was nice and cool on arrival. Room was large with 2 single beds and a queen size bed. Bathroom was small. Room was older style, very clean. Bed was comfortable.

    When you check in you have to pay $100 but you have to wait for them to put the money back into your account after 2pm then it’s up to the bank to refund your $100 2 to 5 days. As well the walls are paper thin and people are coming back drunk and you have no sleep l wouldn’t stay there if it was for free
