About this house rental
Come and enjoy the serenity of this Herring Creek waterfront property. Here you can enjoy the secluded private waterfront setting while being only a 5 minute drive to the beach. Bring your pontoon, small boat or jet ski and tie it to the 75’ pier. Herring Creek opens up to the bay via a low bridge so boats with a hard top or towers will have a problem clearing the bridge but smaller boats will be able to enjoy all that the bay has to offer. Have putting contests on the putting green with its sand trap and water hazard or just sit and relax as the sun goes down while eating delicious steamed crabs that you caught using the crab pot available to you. Here you will be conveniently located near to the beach, shopping, and restaurants as well as to Assateague Island State park where you can spend a day at the beach and see the wild ponies.
This property sleeps 19 with a guest house which is just a few steps away from the main house. The main house has 4 bedrooms with 3 full and ½ baths. First floor has 3 entertaining areas, gourmet kitchen complete with stainless appliances, butcher block island with seating and granite countertops. Second floor has a king master with a full bath, another king bedroom that shares a hall bath with a bedroom that has a queen and two twin beds. Third floor is a queen bedroom with a balcony over looking the water, a queen bed, a day bed with trundle and a bath that has a charming vintage style claw tub. The guest house has a loft bedroom, main level bedroom and a full bath with a soaring cathedral ceiling in the main living area.
This property comes equipped with cable TV , Free Internet, a BBQ grill, bed linens, and ample outdoor seating for you to enjoy your vacation.

This house was the perfect size and location! A nice view of the water and great for big groups to hang out. The large kitchen table allowed everyone to eat and play games together. Thank you so much for providing such an inviting atmosphere!

The property was wonderful. We had our annual women's retreat to rest, recharge and refocus on God. It was the perfect location. Everything we needed was only a few miles aways. Many thank to the host as well.BTM WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

We stayed at this property in June 2025.Pros:Canoes and kayak – a fun escape from the usual at-beach stays.Firepit – A nice feature of the rental (bring your own wood).Spacious bedrooms – All of the bedrooms were big and comfortable.Quiet location – The house is tucked away nicely in a quiet area of the creek.Excellent cooling in the house – even in the hottest week of the summer.Separate guest house – This “extra” helped to give some separation.Adequate parking – We parked 5 cars at the house w/o problems.The prop. mgr. was responsive.Cons:Filthy dirty! – Ever vacuum? We used the vacuum to clean the two rugs in the main level – it filled the tank! Bathroom – The 2nd fl. bath is practically unusable - it doesn’t have a countertop or a hook for a towel!The grass lawn in the photos has been replaced with rocks. The picnic table, tiki bar, and stools are unusable. Outside shower broken.The ad did not disclose that 1/3 of the beds were sofa beds – and these didn’t have sheet sets. We would have passed on the property if this were disclosed. Very poor electronics – outdated TV’s w/ multiple remotes.Kitchen sizing – Too small - no pantry - min shelving – fridge too small for a house this size.Bugs! – Just beware - this is a mosquito playground!Poison ivy – Everywhere!Most of our concerns could have been avoided with some maintenance and care from the property owners. Definitely overpriced for the level of services and comfort.
