LOW HEAD beachside bungalow - "Cockle Shell"

Cockle shell is located directly opposite the Pilot Station at Low Head, it's only a short walk to the beach and pontoons and backs onto the Low Head golf course if that's your thing. On arrival we were warmly greeted by the hosts Peter and Zing who described what amenities the unit has. The unit was spotlessly clean on our arrival and smelt clean, free from any animal odours which had been off putting at other houses we stayed in during our recent Tasmanian trip. The unit is very well equipped with an outdoor setting and pergola as well. George Town is a short drive to the shops should you need provisions. Peter and Zing are gracious hosts and we will certainly be returning on our next trip to Tassie. The lemon and chillies were much appreciated Zing. I hope this review helps someone decide to stay. There are no shops in Low Head which can be a good thing.

great location, water pressure in unit was great - lots of hot water for showers. nice views, friendly hosts.

We enjoyed our stay at 'Cockle Shell" The bungalow was clean, comfortable and lovely and warm for a winter stay. The hosts were obliging and supplied extras for our stay. We had a lovely time.

The only thing I could make comment on was, that the bed was a bit uncomfortable, it was harder than I am used to !
