Lovely Flat by the Vatican

We had a very pleasant stay overall and would like to highlight the excellent communication with the host. From the beginning, the host was responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with. When our arrival was delayed and we reached the property quite late, a designated person kindly met us and handed over the keys, which was a greatly appreciated gesture. We were also allowed a later check-out upon request, which made our departure much more comfortable. For communication and hospitality, we would happily give 10/10. The location, amenities, and overall condition of the apartment met our expectations and contributed to an enjoyable stay. The property was well equipped, and everything necessary for a comfortable visit was available.

The only area that could be improved is the air conditioning in the smaller bedroom. During our stay, temperatures outside reached approximately 35-38°C, and the small bedroom became very hot. While the host had provided a portable cooling unit and fans, they were unfortunately not sufficient to keep the room comfortable for sleeping in such extreme heat. To be fair, the other bedrooms did have air conditioning available. However, despite keeping the doors open and trying to circulate the cooler air from the other rooms, the smaller bedroom remained significantly warmer. We believe that installing a more effective air conditioning solution in that room would greatly improve the overall guest experience, especially during the summer months. That being said, our overall experience was very positive, and we truly appreciated the host's flexibility, responsiveness, and hospitality.

Excelente ubicación: a pocas cuadras del río Tíber y del Vaticano, sin ser una zona ostensiblemente turística. Se apreciaba que era zona residencial y profesional. La ubicación es perfecta para nosotros como grupo familiar turista porque estaba cerca de todos los destinos a los cuales teníamos previsto ir y cerca además de transporte público. Tuvimos excelentes anfitriones; nos hicieron sentir bien recibidos. El lugar está limpio, muy bien ambientado y las piezas son amplias. Es un apartamento que está bien dotado y con todas las comodidades fácilmente accesibles. Además es un sitio bonito y grato en sí mismo. La Lo mejor de la estancia: la distribución, el tamaño de las áreas, la limpieza y la ubicación.

No tener ascensor (lo cual es claro en el aviso) supone un esfuerzo adicional para la movilidad. En condiciones normales no es problema, pero para algunos viajeros puede serlo. Hay detalles de reparaciones menores que compartimos con los anfitriones, y que seguramente son cambiantes.

Great location, easy access to important tourist objective, good neighborhood, the apartment is big with everything you need for a family tripp.

The bathrooms cleaning need more atention.

The apartment is a great size and was clean. It’s in a great location, 10 mins walk from the Vatican, large supermarket, shops, bars and restaurants on the doorstep.

The air conditioning isn’t great and not efficient enough for the whole apartment with only 2 units, one in the master bedroom and one in the lounge. We visited during a hot period but when we arrived it had been turned off and took almost 24 hours before it had cooled the apartment down to a reasonable temperature. The first evening and night was extremely unpleasant because of the heat. The temporary double bed in the smaller bedroom has very thin mattresses, not very comfortable and probably only suitable only for a small child. The bathrooms are in need of refreshing, particularly the showers.
