The apartment is very close to the centre and was very very spacious. Although located on the main road, there is some distance from the apartment to the road so there is no noise. Massimo came by to hand over the keys and was very welcoming and offered some tips and recommendations for what to do. He also left water, juice and milk in the fridge for our stay which was appreciated. Parking on the street is available directly outside the apartment although it may take a few attempts to find a space that is close.
The apartment also benefits from having 2 toilets which was very convenient.

This is the best location to stay at in Catania, right in the heart of the city. The manager Massimo was very kind and accommodating. He met us early (1030) to hand over the keys and show us around. He had great local recommendations and was always a phone call away if we needed anything. Thank you Massimo. Really appreciated the welcome gifts - the kitchen had been stocked with Milk, Juice, Tea, Coffee, Salt, sugar, herbs, etc. So one does n ot need to buy a packet of salt or sugar to use a tea spoon. Many thanks to the proprietor for this. Much appreciated/
Some minor maintenance issues - still , it was a great place and we had a fabulous time.

Host was very nice :)
Bed was comfortable,
Location of the apartment is great,
instant coffee, a packet of milk as well as a bottle of wine and water were in the fridge
Objectively : If you value privacy, this one is not for you.
The windows facing the neighbors cannot be covered and they can look directly inside.
None of the windows could be opened (we were advised not to try to open the rooftop windows).
Strong smell of mothballs in the entire apartment.
Longer showers are not possible, the drainage was clogged (drainwater was coming back out) and the hot water is gone fast.
Personally: Heating with the AC was a bit difficult. More than 4 Mugs would have been nice
