Eiffel seightseing

Veilig, goed ingericht appartement met veel persoonlijke details, in een mooi en schoon modern gebouw met binnenplaats, vlakbij de metro (M14, 5 min lopen), die je direct naar het centrum brengt. Veilige bewaakte parkeerplaats onder het gebouw. Eifeltoren zichtbaar vanaf balkon. Het was heel stil 's nachts zonder verkeersgeluiden. Dat is het voordeel van een modern appartementencomplex! Er was een goede geluidsinstallatie en tv met Netflix. Er waren veel souvenirs van reizen van de eigenaars. Het is duidelijk dat ze zelf ook gebruik maken van het appartement. Beslist geen ikea-inrichting!🙂

Om binnen te komen waren wel 4 codes nodig. Dit werd goed aangegeven in een appbericht (met foto's) maar bleek toch nog wel een puzzel. Wel veilig dus! En de sleutel voor de garage moest eerst binnen opgehaald worden en dan is het toch nodig eerst je auto in de buurt te parkeren. Het kostte ons in totaal een half uur. Daarna was alles met één sleutel te bereiken.

A spacious apartment with a wonderful terrace overlooking to the Eiffel Tower. The building was high class and secure. We particularly liked the spirit of the place, with a lot of interesting artefacts. There was a wonderful collection of classic music and a high quality stereo to enjoy them. In short the atmosphere makes you feel like you are back home in Paris!

The location was nice, it was very close to multiple shops and cafes. Very easy to get food delivered as well. The apartment was very much “lived in”, it felt as though I was a guest in someone else’s home, which I thought was fun. Getting into the apartment, etc. was easy once I watched the provided video instructions, although checking out was not as easy. Neighbors were friendly even though I spoke no French. Bed was reasonably comfortable, but I really enjoyed the leather couch in the living room. Balcony view was nice.

Shower was a bit small, probably a cultural thing. Shower and toilet were also in separate cramped rooms, also probably a cultural thing, so it’s ok. A coffee maker with readily provided coffee in the kitchen would’ve been very appreciated. Checking out was difficult. The instructions did not explain how to find trash cans in the building, or how to even get to them. Also, nowhere did it explain that your key ring is also a key-fob, that would’ve been nice to know.

We live in an already lived-in apartment; full of the owners’ belongings, with clothers, shoes, cosmetics, paint boxes, whatever the man normally has at home. If I knew this, I would never have rented it! I had acces just to part of a wardrobe. For example, the showcase with wine glasses was closed, in the country of wine we could not have 2 stemmed glasses. The dishwasher was broken, when we decided to rent the use of the dishwasher was one of the criteria! In short, you lea e home if you have request from turist, look the doors first, take your bag and leave! I Thought I made the reservation for a house exchange!
