I think everyone who complains about the check in process either doesn't read English or just doesn't follow instructions. From the moment I reserved the room, they told me to contact them via WhatsApp where I was told to do the online check-in process. After doing that and showing the payment confirmation, they gave me the code to the doors well before I arrived. I got in instantly. Funnily enough, after getting into my room, I went out to the lobby for a bit and no less than 3 different groups asked me for help checking in. They all were people who seemed to have unfamiliarity with online check-in and one even refused to use WhatsApp when I said to contact the staff via WhatsApp.
For people complaining about the lack of towels and plates and stuff, during the check-in on their website, you can pay for these amenities. For example, I got a silverware/plate/bowl set and two towels for an extra €9. Not €9 extra a night, just a flat fee of €9. Even adding that to the price of the room, it still is much cheaper than anything else in the area.
People complaining about the cleanliness of the rooms were also wrong. My room was perfectly fine and actually very, very comfortable based on my expectations. I had two twin beds I was easily able to push together and the mattresses were very comfortable. The room was very big with lots of storage space and a perfectly sized little refrigerator.
The location is the real star of the show, though. Usually in Europe, the area closest to the main train station of a big city is a little skeevy, but the area by the Vienna Central Station was very nice and spotlessly clean. You can easily walk to anything or get on the subway nearby. There are lots of cheap restaurants nearby for take out and many different grocery stores and drugstores for all your daily needs.
So yeah, I 100% recommend this place if you're not coming in summer and know how to follow instructions.
The only completely negative thing that needs improvement is that you're unable to open the windows, so it gets stuffy in the room very quickly. It was around 60-70F/15-20C while I was in Vienna and it was just barely on the verge of being uncomfortable. I would ask if they could provide a fan or something if it was any hotter.
