Almhaus & Almchalet Flattnitz

We had a great stay at this chalet. It is comfortable, very well equipped, and has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The private sauna was a real bonus after a day of hiking. The value for money is good. The surroundings are beautiful, with several great hiking trails starting nearby the chalet. The slogan “Flattnitz - Kraft der Ruhe/ The Power of tranquility” is absolutely true. If you’re looking for nature, peace and quiet, and a place to unwind, this is perfect.

A few minor points: Electricity is charged separately at the end of your stay. We found this a bit inconvenient and would have preferred a slightly higher rental price with electricity included. Guests are asked to turn the boiler down before departure. We missed this information, so we initially had very little hot water on arrival. A clearer reminder before check-in or a more visible instruction would easily prevent this. And if you prefer lively villages with plenty of restaurants, shops, or nightlife, this is probably not the right destination. The nearest large supermarket is about a 45-minute drive away. There is, however, a small self-service shop in the village offering a surprisingly good selection of tasty local products. Overall, we would definitely recommend this chalet. It is a fantastic base for exploring the area and enjoying a peaceful mountain holiday.

Die Lage ist top, Haus sehr schön, naheliegende schöne Wanderwege, hundefreundlich, Ruhe pur!!!

Die Betten sind leider nicht gemütlich.

The house is very nicely designed with both modern and traditional feel, built with precision and care for detail, and is very well cared for. Quiet, private, and close to nature.

Die Unterkunft war sehr geräumig und super ausgestattet. Die Küche hat alles, was man braucht, es gibt einen schönen Kamin und eine tolle Sauna. Armin ist ein super Gastgeber. Der CheckIn lief problemlos ab. Vergessene Gegenstände wurden uns zweifach hinterhergeschickt. Danke dafür!

Wir haben uns schwer getab mit dem Kamin. Hier liegt aber wohl eher die Schuld bei uns - dafür kann niemand was 😂
