Appartement - Résidence l'Estran - Sables d'Olonne

Very comfortable apartment that is part of a bigger holiday residence/hotel, with sea view on the outskirts of les Sables-d’Olonne. The apartment is privately owned and basically consists of two converted connected hotel rooms. It is well equipped and has a large balcony where you can enjoy the sunset. The complex has two nice pools, bike renting facllities and shops are nearby and above all the lovely owners that welcomed us with a brioche and a bottle of rose! Sea front is a 5 minute walk, with a nice beach about 15 min walk away.

If I had to mention one thing it would be the size of the second bedroom (bunk beds). That’s a little small with only a window opening into the outside walkway of the complex, without natural light.

Great location, lovely appartment, spotlessly clean.

No washing machine on site. Kids bedroom is small so more suited to smaller children.

Great view from the apartment and owners are friendly and welcoming.

It is just over a mile to nearest sandy beach which was too far to walk with 3 young children (aged 6, 3 & 12wks) plus beach gear so we needed to drive everytime. Also the pool has no shade so again difficult with a baby. Neither a major issue but for these reason we would say the location favours families with older children than ours.
