Nice, small old-school hotel close to the town center.

The hotel breathes an old-school vibe, but in a nice way. Despite the fact that the hotel clearly hasn't been renovated for quite a while, everything is in very good order and very clean. The shared sitting room and adjoining balcony with the possibility to have drinks (and free coffee) is very nice! The hotel is close to the town's center where you can find several restaurants. Parking was easy in a public parking lot right across the hotel. The breakfast was simple, but very good, with fresh eggs cooked by the hostess.

The rooms have no air conditioning and we didn't manage to find a way to leave the window ajar at night, so unfortunately we had to sleep with the window closed. This made the room very warm at night.

Not great

OK for an overnight stay. The girl on reception was very nice and let us put our motorbikes in the garage.

Knew we had booked a small attic room but felt the pictures shown of the room on booking.com were misrepresented. It was pretty basic with no seating other than a small table and chair. Very hot room and city view was really a view of the car park. We were told that the restaurant was closed that night but the menu board outside the hotel was empty and it looked to us as if the restaurant was permanently closed. On the plus side there are a number of restaurants in the square a short walk away. I agree with a previous review that both the hotel and the town are a bit downbeat.

wonderful clean harmonious place with wonderful staff

Cor de Chasse is our number one place to stay when we visit St. Hubert. It is well situated near a monumental village church and it has free parking in front of the hotel. Staff is adorable and delivers great service. From servings in the foyer on the first floor, to fresh and varied breakfast, with fresh eggs from the hotel owners chicken coop. Rooms are 100% clean and well maintained. Great beds. Water pressure high and water is tasteful to drink. Town square with the landmark basilica and restaurants nearby, a three minute walk in one straight line from the hotel. Green surroundings and fresh air. Highly recommended.

the street on which the hotel lies is quite busy. at night it’s quiet but around 6 traffic starts. perhaps there are rooms on the backside.

Superb

Convenient free parking just across the road. Receptionist really wanted to be helpful. Room very clean. Large super clean bathroom. Good breakfast which you choose items for the night before - promptly available at specified time. Good boiled egg - boiled to perfection! An enjoyable overnight stay.

Pity the restaurant is no longer operating but we found the most excellent restaurant called Le Chalet de la Forêt which served the most excellent and excellently presented local game meals very close by. The house aperitif there was absolutely delicious! Beautiful sun terrace behind hotel but it needed parasols in the hot evening sunshine - apparently they had forgotten to put them out but hotel is not staffed in the evenings so no-one to ask. Communal lounge is a bit heavy and dark - personally I would lighten the wall coverings. Also since hotel is unstaffed in evenings a drinks machine would be nice as own drinks are not allowed there. perhaps also a discreet information board to say that the sun terrace end is private so guests don’t head for the only shade covered area which happens not to be for general use. A little sad that Saint Hubert seems to be suffering a bit from recession - needs to find a good use for the beautiful Abbot’s palace. Rather too many central premises are closed down and to rent.

Lovable and unique place

Our third visit to this lovable and unique place. Ran by a magnificent host, Mr. Arnoldy. Great ambiance, located near free parking, a beautiful old churchyard and the street that connects the hotel to the scenic city centre. All around town, great forests. Hotel is always clean and one always feels welcome. Whether in the public living room on the first floor or in the morning with a great breakfast. Thanks so much!

Disapointed

Location is good, big parking place next to police station so safe enaugh.

I booked the hotel for the second time and i marked my late arival at 19h. The hotel was closed and no lights where on ? There was a couple (man/woman) before me and ringed the doorbel. A small older man was opening the door in his underwear. 😑. My french is basic but good enough to explain that i had a reservation for 2 nights. This guy give me the same room as the couple before me ?? He didn’t understand that i needed a seperate room. After a discussion he finally gave me an other key for another room. The room was cold and the heating was not working wel. 2nd night the heating was off in the morning and it was freezing outside (-2). You can imagine the room temperature. The night before i wanted to pay the hotel and it was not possible to pay with visa or other banc card ? And second of all breakfast only from 8h in the morning. I payed 172€ for 2 nights without breakfast ??? Well thanks you will never see me again. I’m used to travel all over the world but this was a dissaster. And i’m just telling how it was. Highly recommended for hungry and thirsty bikers

We arrived cold and dirty from a long bike ride and immediately felt welcome. Taking into account covid restrictions, the hotel owner does an amazing job. Room was comfortable, he home cooked a lovely steak-frites for dinner in the room, has a good selection of cold beers and made a wonderful breakfast plus lunch boxes for on the road.

A very nice stay!

The owner from the hotel is very nice ! We arived with 2 motorbikes and he even want to let us park in his garage. The area is very safe. There is a big parking place just on the other side of the road and the police is next to this parking place. So yes safe 😄. Due to corona the food was made by the hotel and brought to our room. We stayed in this hotel traveling through the Belgium ardennes. Recommended to stay !

The heating was working but not very warm but this point is not that negative also. The bathroom heating is work perfectly.

Wrschl enig hotel in St Hubert dat echt gemoderniseerd moet worden,

Naast het vrij moderne restaurant van het hotel steekt het hotel met zijn kamers scherp af. Vrij veel vergane glorie dwz zeer ouderwetse kamers. Wel goede bedden. Zeer kleine badkamer met prima douche, krappe omgeving voor een lage wc-pot en een wastafel waarbij het water onvodoende wegliep. Ondanks enkele malen hierover gereclameerd werd hier niets aan gedaan. De prijs voor deze vier nachten beviel het meest, en was in juiste verhouding met het gebodene.

We verbleven heel graag in dit hotel in het centrum van Saint-Hubert

Het personeel was heel vriendelijk. Men deed moeite om ons in het Nederlands aan te spreken. Er was een gezellige huiskamer met zetels waar we gebruik van mochten maken om een drankje te nuttigen. Onze slaapkamer en badkamer waren heel ruim. We konden er 's avonds in het restaurant een lekkere maaltijd gebruiken. 's Ochtends was er een lekker ontbijtbuffet.
