A bit off the main road. No coffee or tea facilities was a bit disappointing as location is very far from any cafe. No wifi

It is unique, right in nature and so close to the Amatikulu Lagoon. The rooms are neat, comfy and air conned with ensuite bathroom. The communal kitchens were great. Some entertainment options like pool table, etc. Lots of different swimming pools and spaces to sit around a fire. Facilities to paddle on the lagoon. You can fish. Go for a walk. We loved it.

We really enjoyed the getaway, the area is quiet and next to water so very relaxing. We enjoyed the gin pools and the heated bathtub and also got the opportunity to use the outdoor bathtub which felt like it was somewhere in a tropical forest. The kitchen facility was good and offered all necessary equipment. Not too far out from a decent shop to buy groceries from. It is a great place if you are looking to book out the entire hatchery for a family event and share areas and cook together. The butlers are extremely friendly and helpful and ready to assist whenever. There was also a dog, named Hunter who seemed to enjoy our company a lot. Animal lover so his friendly face was enjoyed followed with plenty of belly rubs. We received a special handwritten note upon arrival which added the extra touch.

The initial idea we got about the place were much different than the reality. Our room seemed to offer a private gin pool, which we looked forward to using. Upon arrival, there was a different family with kids using the pool. It was directly in front of our room so unavoidable to share, or have any kind of privacy. Since our work is quite strenuous- we looked forward to peace and quietness and having this feature to ourselves. The kids were very loud, crying all the time and made us uncomfortable especially since the parents did not intervene or make any efforts to have their kids behave. We requested to move to a different room and we were informed that all pools are actually communal and free for anyone to use at any time. We used the pools on the opposite side and the other family seemed to use all the other pools closer to their room and it worked for all of us. The dog, cute but a rescue, barked with no end during the entire night which was quite unpleasant. We had to check whenever the other family was cooking, to avoid overcrowding in the kitchen. We could not get the heated bathtub going at first, as the instructions were unclear (usually we are quite savvy with fires and equipment) but we managed to get it going. Would have been nice if the pools and tub were kept clean or at least have a cleaning pump in.
