Room was really nice, if a bit small. The only issue is that it is quite a bit out of the way and you need to drive a gravel road to get to the hotel. Staff were very accommodating and were able to whip up dinner for us even though we didn't book (Supposedly, we should have received a menu and dinner booking message through agoda, but we didn't. This happened at another property as well, so we are inclined to think it might be an agoda issue).
We also needed to do an early check out and staff made us a delicious breakfast to go in lieu of being able to dine at the breakfast buffet.

Almost at the far end of a cul-de-sac gravel road heading into a valley you'll find an unassuming farm with 3 cabins and 3 twin bungalows (on the other side of the road) and the `iconic` ` black half-barrel breakfast/dining room-cum-reception. The cabins are comfortable, have a little but well-equipped kitchenette (incl. small fridge, hotplate and kettle - but no microwave), a funky bunk bed above the double bed and lots of nice touches (extra towels, slippers, shoe polish and even charging cable and travel plug). They're clean, have a little balcony and views of the valley, the hills opposite and the farms scattered around in the landscape. It`s all peaceful and quiet here, and located strategically at the base of the Snaefellsness Peninsula, one can easily drive north to the Western Fjords, west to Snaefellsjökull National Park, south to Akranes and Reykjavik and east towards Akureyri and North Iceland.
Breakfast is included with the accommodation and although the offerings look small at first glance, everything gets replenished swiftly and efficiently and you won't be left hungry. Dinner is also available within a short timeframe (but if you don't get back from your outings, they will turn it into a takeaway) and needs to be ordered in advance (e.g at breakfast but also later in the day), but is definitely worth having at least one night, especially because all ingredients are sourced locally and because all dishes are tasty and beautifully presented. Daria is the heart and soul of the entire establishment (although not the owner, she's responsible for all and does it brilliantly), and she's a wonderful person and a fountain of knowledge if you're looking for places to visit!
