The view is amazing regardless where you are in the property. It’s amazing to open up the bedroom window and have that beautiful view and fresh air. While not luxurious, everything needed is in the apartment. Great place to get rest being away from the busy cities. Depending the type of transportation you take, you can be in Florence within 45 minutes to little over an hour.
The owners were very helpful and went out of their way to help me find a taxi, keeping in mind that it is hard to find a taxi in this area. With the very little broken Italian and Google Translate to the rescue, I was able to communicate with Fiorella, a sweet lady who was very helpful and attentive despite the language barrier. If it wouldn’t have been for her help in finding a taxi and her husband’s in giving me a ride to the nearest main road to get picked up by the taxi, I wouldn’t have been able to go to Florence. I could’ve walked to the main road as it is only a short 10 minute walk, but I had several big bags and they were kind enough to offer to drive me up to the road. Keep in mind you’re essentially renting an apartment, you’re not at a hotel, so for me, Fiorella going out of her way to help me out means a lot and it is worth mentioning it.
It is not at all a negative aspect of the property but it’s something you need to take into consideration if you plan to travel frequently to Florence from the property. However, if you don’t mind the limited number of times the bus/train (public transportation) stops at the nearest bus stop, then you’ll be fine. I bring this up because out of the seven days I was in Italy, two of them I had to go to Florence without a specific time to return back to the villa. Turns out the last bus, which is the cheapest option at less then 10 euros, was at around 6pm, so the time I expected to stay in Florence those days were shorter than expected. Having said that, if you don’t mind spending over 130+ euros for taking a taxi to/from Florence, then you’ll be fine. Just keep in mind that it is hard to find a taxi that will go to the country from Florence. The app AppTaxi was not able to “find” a taxi for me. Even booking.com failed to find me a taxi to take me to Florence from this place, which is how I booked my taxi from the airport to the property. Luckily, the owners came to the rescue and they connected me with a local to the area taxi driver they new that was willing to take me to Florence and eventually to the airport. Also, maybe it was just me, but the taxi that took me to Florence (the only taxi I was able to find), would not drive all the way into the property’s entrance. So once again, Fiorella’s husband was kind enough to drive me up to the nearest road so the taxi could pick me up from there. Keep in mind that it is only a short 10 minute walk to the main road. Tip; when entering the address provided by booking.com, into any app whether for taxis, trip planning, google maps, make sure you first enter “Complesso Colonico Pogginano,” then enter the address provided by booking.com. Otherwise, the apps will not pull the address.

Casa piccola ma ben adatta a una famiglia con due figli, molto pulita e ben attrezzata. Bello spazio fuori per sedersi all'ombra e altro spazio con bellissima veduta su campagna toscana con vigne.
La piscina, ad uso esclusivo degli ospiti, un po piccola ma molto pulita e in un bel giardino.
Appena sotto il locale Quartino Frescobaldi.
Necessaria la macchina per ogni spostamento, la casa si raggiunge dalla provinciale percorrendo una strada non semplice e sterrata con sassi.... in pochi giorni però ci si abitua.

My partner and I had the best experience ever staying in this accommodation.
The whole place was very clean, Fiorella was friendly and extremely helpful (throughout the stay as well) and walked us around the flat and the garden to show us where everything is and how things work.
We had a terrace next door where we enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches. There’s another terrace with a view of the hills which was beautiful. You can see olive trees from there. There’s also a big garden with a nice size private pool, sunbeds, another set of table and chairs and space to plays sports around olive trees.
The flat was big enough for a family of four so it was perfect for two of us. The kitchen was fully equipped so we had everything we needed to cook. There were fans we used during the night for a good night sleep. Some nights we’re quite hot but the bedroom has shutters you can keep closed during the day to keep the heat away and then put fans on at night.
Overall, the flat was super clean and had everything you need. There’s two shops 5-10 min drive from the house. A nice restaurant literally next door and lots of vineyards around the area.
I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a true Tuscan experience which I doubt you can find in commercial hotels.

The real Tuscany. Beautiful landscape and panoramas.
The apartment is clean, tidy and there is everything you need. There are place to sit and garden with swimming pool.
Florence is about 25 minutes by car, great location.
The host is very nice, polite and helpful.
