Two newly renovated units units in one house sleep up to 20 people in 6 bedrooms. Large patios and large living and kitchen areas provide plenty of comfortable hang-out space and incredible views. Stroll along the private boardwalk through the dunes to one of the most gorgeous beaches in Florida located just south of St. Augustine Beach. Or spend a day exploring the Old City of St. Augustine just a 10-15 minute drive away.
Each unit is completely reconstructed and freshly finished in modern beachy decor to create the perfect vacation environment. Barefoot Hideaway I and II feature large back porches which overlook sunrises on the beach and double the living space. Three bedrooms in each unit are outfitted with comfortable furnishings, and baths and kitchen are fully stocked with everything you need for your stay. The living areas are light and bright and include a dining area and a pull-out Queen bed. And the best part of all....Step out onto a little short boardwalk that takes you over the dunes and through your private gate onto the beach! Beach supplies such as beach chairs, towels and cooler are provided.
***Note: The pool heater is available upon request from November 1st - April 15th. Please inquire for pool heating prices. Requests must be made at least 24 hours before checkin. Depending on the weather conditions, the pool may not hit the set point of the heater. Please note, when night temperatures go below 50 degrees the heater cannot operate effectively. Please plan your vacation activities accordingly. No refunds are issued based on weather conditions. ***

Our family, children and grandchildren stayed in both units for 3 days. The pool and beach were huge hits with everyone. The units were very clean and well stocked with beach towels, chairs etc.

The location was better than in the photos, the boardwalk was short and the beach view from the deck was great.
The first night we arrived the back door handle broke, leaving my father and daughter stuck outside on the porch, they had to climb through the window to get back in. The owner and property manager came to fix it that night but they were in there for a long while as we were trying to enjoy our first family dinner. They were kind and helpful and offered us a free local activity in exchange for the trouble.
A couple days in the roof started leaking, we had to have a bowl and towels in the middle of the living area which was obviously very inconvenient since we had a bunch of little kids we had to keep away from it. It took hours but they came and fixed it by the end of the day.
The next day men came to work on the heated pool. They turned our hot water off and ended up working for 3-4 hours talking very loud and obnoxiously. That made for us not to be able to enjoy the deck during "naptime" for the kids which was a bummer because that was one of the nicest times of the day for us. They never ended up getting the pool heated. even though they came back two more times.
Then the roof started leaking again, this time in two places and this time wasn't fixed for the entire day.
The more problems we had the less concerned the property managers became so if we were to go back to St. Augustine, we'd look for somewhere else to stay.
