Luxury Villa Caretta

We are absolutely in love with everything about this property! The pictures honestly don’t do it justice...it’s even more stunning in person. The pool view is breathtaking, the dining table was perfect for our family gatherings, and the rooms are so spacious and comfortable. The villa was impeccably clean, and most importantly, we felt completely at home while also being treated like cherished guests. You can tell every detail has been thoughtfully cared for. It’s not a bare, minimalistic space, but a vibrant home filled with beautiful decorations, travel artefacts, and personal touches that make it unique. The support via WhatsApp was amazing whether we needed help finding a room, opening doors, getting a taxi, or discovering nearby beaches, every question was answered promptly. It may seem small, but it made our stay effortless and stress-free. We celebrated our wedding here with our family, and everyone was blown away by this villa. Thank you for being so warm, friendly, and welcoming. This stay truly changed the way we see traveling...I don’t think we’ll ever stay in a hotel again after experiencing a private pool with such a view!

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like, but a few small basics, like paper, weren’t immediately available. It was absolutely fine, we easily bought them ourselves but it might be helpful for future guests if such items were refillable by the property, as it’s not always common to go out and purchase them on a trip. Also, we were told someone would come to the villa to check IDs and explain the facilities. No one came, and we ended up waiting a little while. It would be wonderful if this could be clarified in advance, as not everything is always obvious through chat.

What an exceptional villa! The most beautiful property we have ever stayed in. It is perfectly situated on the peninsula, with the most breathtaking views. The infinity pool looks like an extension of the blue sea beyond. When we arrived, we all literally gasped in unison! There were 7 of us with teenage children and grand parents and we had plenty of space to stretch out or find a quiet corner. The house is so well appointed, a home from home and it was immaculate. My husband and I loved to sit out on the balcony early morning and watch the ships sail by. I was really looking forward to reading my book but I just couldn’t focus because I was just pulled in by the beautiful view!! Melinda was most helpful with any questions before we arrived and Cuneyt was equally helpful once we arrived, checking we were ok and offering suggestions on where to visit. Irfan looked after the pool and garden and delivered us fresh bread each day. He was lovely and tried to teach us little bits of Turkish. We were very well looked after, but discreetly, and left alone as much as we wished. We had a hire car, but there is also a bus that goes into town on a regular basis. We visited Myra, Patara, Kalkan, Demre, went on a boat trip to Simena, did a cooking class with Cuneyt’s wife, explored and ate in some lovely places in Kaș, jumped in the sea off the rocks below the villa (snorkelling was brilliant), walked to limonagazi beach on the Lycian way and caught the sea taxi back, hiked up the sleeping giant at dawn and saw the chamois, but our favourite thing to do was watch the fabulous sunset from the terrace and marvel at the view. We also discovered there was a lovely place to eat right across the road from the villa. It’s named Burger stop, but don’t be deceived by the simple name, we are there a couple of times and it was really reasonable and delicious! Nothing at all!

The villa has a stunning view of the sea—as soon as you open the front door it is there welcoming you! You can fully enjoy the view from the infinity pool which was lovely and warm during our stay. The villa is well equipped and tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. The gardener and pool maintenance, Irfan, was friendly and most helpful, assisting us with our shopping bags on several occasions. He also delivered fresh warm bread each morning. We enjoyed a delicious vegetarian meal cooked by his wife. The manager Cuneyt responded promptly to our queries and recommended a couple of restaurants which we dined at and thoroughly enjoyed. A car is recommended for food shopping and venturing further afield. There is a Migros store just off the peninsula on the Marina complex, only a ten minute drive away. We recommend taking a taxi into Kas itself—traffic was extremely busy. We loved Kas and its people and had wonderful experiences at all the restaurants and bars we visited, including the hotel just a two minute walk up the road. We also enjoyed a fun meze class run by Cuneyt’s wife, Christine, at their home on the nearby mountainside.

Neighbouring cats would sometimes leave marks on the sun lounger and dining chair cushions which my husband cleaned on several occasions before we could use them. Not a massive problem in the grand scheme of things. We quickly learned to leave the seat cushions up before going to bed! The villa welcome pack was a little sparse in comparison to other villas we’ve stayed at.
