About this cottage rental
This charming and historic lake property is the perfect destination for family and friends. Situated on a cove with its own private dock, you can fish and swim for hours. This property has everything you need:
--A full kitchen with standard size oven and refrigerator plus two dining tables for plenty of room for you and all of your guests.
--The spacious bathroom also contains a washer & dryer
--New Smart TV with Netflix
--WiFi
--Queen bed in first room, Day bed with trundle in second can be used as two twins or pushed together to create one King size bed
--Sofa bed sleeps two
--Children's activity table
--Large patio with charcoal grill and stunning lake views
--Private dock for fishing and tying up boat. Boat slip is 8.5 feet wide by 20 feet long. It is 7.5 feet from the water to the rafter. There is no lift system.
--Public boat ramp less than 1 mile away at Flat Rock Park.
--The Hideout Golf Course is located at Lake Brownwood just a few miles from the house.
--Nearby restaurants in Brownwood include: Gomez Mexican Restaurant, Humphrey Pete's Steak House, Section Hand Steak House, Lemons' Bar-B-Q, Schlotsky's, China King, Chili's, Prima Pasta, CiCi's Pizza, The Turtle Restaurant and many more.
NOTES:
Please use your beach towels and keep our bathroom towels at the house. If you've forgotten a required life jacket, we will have a few on hand that you can borrow. But please remember to bring your own so you can be sure you have a proper fit. Also, water shoes are recommended for the dock and lake and all SWIMMING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Love the lake, its access (launched boat 1/2 mile away and kept it at their dock. Easy fishing and swimming off the dock.Patti, the owner, was amazing communicator. We gave her feedback on a few cleaning items, which she quickly addressed with her housekeeping cleaner. We had an unusual stay because it was so wonderfully cool at night, but the A/C went out the first night. Patti was immediately responsive to get an HVAC person out, who by the way had exceptional customer service. We appreciated Patti going above and beyond with the AC as she had someone also drop off brand new box fans. We were very comfortable temperature-wise.Our bed was comfortable, which is a huge thing for us.Now, please keep in mind that this is a "vintage lake-side home," meaning it is rustic. We did not mind this because it reminded it of our youth at similar lake homes. Again, I want to stress the communication was the owner was always extremely pleasant, helpful, and quick.

The main reason we picked this house was for the dock. We own a boat. The wasp’s were so bad. Couldn’t enjoy ourselves. You should really make an effort to remove them. And the top of dock had big nails sticking out and loose boards. So it was dangerous with small children. And also we were asked to keep all our trash inside home while we stayed and they would pick it up. 3 days 6 people. That was a lot of trash we had piled up in the house. So we took our trash and dumped it at flat rock park. It was supposed to have a circle drive. We have a boat and it was not a circle drive. The internet password I was given didn’t work at all. Just some things you might want to fix it would make the next family’s stay more enjoyable
