Azienda Agricola e Agriturismo Vallorsi

This was a great base for our family time in Tuscany. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable with everything you need to cook for a family. The pool was awesome, the host was kind.

Unable to use the AC

Have you ever seen photos of the picturesque Tuscan countryside with beautiful rolling hills, interspersed with villas, and trees which Tuscany is famous for? At this agriturismo, you get to live in this storybook setting. As a large family and extended family of 16 people, we rented 3 of the 6 apartments on the property. Each one had a kitchen, living room and dining area. In the largest of these apartments, the common space was so vast and the table could be extended such that all 16 of us could enjoy a family meal together. The agriturismo is a working winery run by brothers Leonardo, Francesco and their cousin. We really enjoyed the opportunity to visit the cellar and get an overview of their operations. They also generously provided us with bottles of flavourful wine on arrival. The property is beautifully maintained and they have outdoor seating areas for each apartment, as well as a shared pool and playground equipment. It was too cool to swim while we were there, but it was a nice addition to the view. There was also a small washing machine and clothesline in a cabana off the pool area which we used while we were there. It was a short drive to groceries but you felt like you were far from everything while onsite. Meanwhile, it was a manageable drive of 40 minutes to Pisa, an hour to Lucca, and Sienna is 1 hour 30 minutes away. We had a truly wonderful stay in this countryside gem.

Slight musty smell on arrival, but quickly clears with opening windows to let in fresh air.

Space to move around, impeccably clean premises, onsite parking, receptive hosts. Wine tour and wine sampling were both unexpected pleasures.

As heating is centrally controlled, it is not on between the hours of 7:00 pm to 7:00am — but we found the residual heat to be very comfortable for sleeping.
