Anchor's Rest Guesthouse and Self Catering

The setting of this room - in the garden is really beautiful and private. The effort made by the reception, to provide me with a room that would allow me to run online meetings was appreciated. While a self-catering room - the staff still cleaned the rooms every day.

The room was very musty / damp smell - and with all the windows closed it was exacerbated. The bathroom and toilet areas were worse with no real outlet for "fresh air". The toilet behind a "cupboard type" door was interesting? There were wall spaces in the room - where damp and/or peeling paint seemed evident - which made one feel a little unsettled about how (thoroughly) clean everything else may be? And how healthy this is? The bath towels provided were older, and way too small for an adult. Parking is a MAJOR issue - while there are parking bays available - the area to reverse into - or try and move your car out was VERY limited - making it an unpleasant process needing to be navigated.

The hosts, the beutiful Tuscan setting and pool.
