Excellent overnight stay

We have stayed here before. It is an ideal stopover on a European journey. The receptionist, Marie, was extremely helpful on the phone, as we were late arrivals and, next morning, welcomed us and provided an excellent, courteous and friendly service. The rooms are small but have everything you need. The bathroom and shower were spotless, great overhead walk in shower. The breakfast area is always lovely, spotless and well organised, with a generous continental buffet bar. The croissants were warm and fresh, delicious. This hotel is excellent value. Breakfast is 11 euros.

Reading lights beside the bed would have been useful. Please note restaurant is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Clean and Comfortable

The hotel is located on an industrial area outside of the city, it is quite near a busy road, but the road quietens down at night time. The hotel was nice and cool and clean, and the rooms were lovely. The breakfast was good too. They have a restaurant, but they don't cook at weekends, this made it more difficult as there was nothing much in the area at all, only junk food about a 10 or 15 minute walk away. It would have been nice if there were a bit of green recreational outside space with a few tables on to sit on at night time.

Very good position for a one night stay on transit. Near the highway. I got very good information where to park then if I want to drive to the center of Besancon and eat dinner/take a walk through the city.

Convenient and reasonably priced hotel

Very good bed. It was a stop on my trip home, and thanks to the restaurant at the premises it was very convenient and reasonably priced. Friendly staff.

The location isn't the most interesting of course but all in all you ar not that far from the city center, even though I did not check how easily you could get there by public transport but it's a ten minutes drive. Not their fault but the drain of the shower is in the wrong spot so no matter what you end up with a wet floor in the bathroom. Not that this would stop me from staying there again!

Comfortable and good value, would stay again

Comfortable stay, no problems. The hotel is basic as you'd expect but not as basic as some competitors at similar prices, so represents good value for money. Liked the calm decor of the room with hints of purple for interest. There was plenty of parking. Comfortable bed, with a firm but comfortable mattress and pillows that weren't too thick. Good shower. Restaurant looked pretty welcoming, for a budget hotel. The location is easy to access from the main road, which is nice.

Downside of the slightly out-of-town location is of course that that it's a longish walk to the centre of town, but we drove in instead and parked in one of the big free parking areas, with no problem. The parking at the hotel is outside and not covered or secured, but is at least at the back of the hotel and not on the street. On arrival the front desk was unmanned and a bit dark, but a ding on the bell brought a young lady who checked us in. She was pleasant enough and did raise a smile in return, but not especially welcoming -- as if checking in customers was a slight distraction from whatever she had been doing.

Excellent budget hotel with high standards

The hotel is located close to motorway but also in quiet area. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room spacious. The dining area, inside and outside is a very clean, inviting area with a lovely range of fresh foods for breakfast.

Nothing. For a budget hotel meeting the needs of people travelling through Besancon, this hotel is ideal. We would definitely stay here again.

dishes were not really clean the fridge door could not ne closed, the (very nice!) service personel was not able to help and we had to defrost it and clean the ice out (took about 20 minutes). no problem, even if it was really late and we were very tired. But if something like that happens and I get no sorry, no thank you and no answer to my emails, that is poor service.

Thé restaurant was outstanding, but is closes in thé week-end, which us an occasion to try other restaurants in town (like La Grange, that was à suggestion from thé very helpfil staff).
