Cascina Meriame

Luisella and Paolo have created a little slice of heaven on earth in their Agritourism Cascina Meriame. My husband, adult son, and I traveled to Serralunga after spending time in Florence and immediately felt ourselves relax in Meriame's idyllic, pastoral setting and refined accommodations. What makes Meriame even more special, though, are Luisella, Paolo and their staff. Perfectly attuned to their guests, we were struck by how comfortable we felt throughout our stay, from the lovely breakfasts, biking in the area, to evenings spent on our balcony, soaking up the view and enjoying a cup of tea. A highlight was wine tasting and learning about the process of making Meriame's selection of wines with Paolo. So educational, so delicious, so generous with his time. Unlike any other tasting I've done, Paolo gave our small group his full, unhurried attention and did his best to impart his deep experience in the field. The experience felt truly personal. Altogether, a stay to remember and one I unreservedly and wholeheartedly recommend!

Friendly hostess. Scenic location that provided feeling of a 'vineyard' stay and ideal for exploring region. Good breakfast on pleasant outdoor terrace. Opportunity to taste their wines (at extra cost) Plenty of restaurants in the area for dinner.

Reception area could be a little noisy at times.

Beautiful grounds and views and very friendly family running it. Great location in the heart of Barolo.

Cascina Meriame is clearly beloved by it's hosts and it shows in every way! It was clean and beautiful inside and out and the hosts are delightful. I highly recommend a stay and a wine tasting!
