Hôtel Tandem - Boutique Hôtel

Very close to the station. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Spacious lounge, bar and terrace area. Clean and tidy and beds very comfortable.

Its a quirky boutique style hotel and has some nice features, however dark colours on the walks and ceiling make it grim and dismal. Rooms look very dark with only a small window. We booked the hotel as it had a restaurant in it. When we checked in, the receptionist confirmed we could eat there in the evening. However when we went down later we were informed that the restaurant was closed as the person was on his own and couldn’t man the desk and cook food! Extremely disappointing as that was one reason we chose the hotel.

The best breakfast of any hotel anywhere! Also, friendly staff, great location, very comfortable, spacious room.

Their attempts to seem modern and fresh. The property indeed didn’t look old, which was very nice. The location was good because the hotel is very close to the railway station. The breakfast was good and the quality of food was nice.

Here’s the list: 1. The size of the room and, especially, the bathroom — they are super tiny! The shower cabin is really more like a small wardrobe — I couldn’t relax in there because my elbows and head were in constant danger. 2. The colors — the room was all black and looked quite depressing. There was not enough light. 3. The staff. While checking in we were not told that before we come in the breakfast room in the morning it was compulsory to wait for someone to tell them the room number. When we went downstairs to have breakfast, we didn’t see anyone in front of the room and went straight to a free table, took the plates, chose some food, put the plates on the table we chose and went back to get some more food. When we got back to the table, one of the employees (no idea what her name is) literally scolded us for not respecting the procedure, took our plates from the table, made us wait until she prepares another table because ours was for some reason assigned to someone else.. that was utterly embarrassing and, I’m sure, I’d unacceptable. We were literally made to feel like we were criminals or something. But we didn’t know anything, and there was nobody to meet us and ask for the room number — if they were all busy, it’s not our problem, it only means that the hotel is understaffed.
