Yumekaiyu Awajishima

It was an interesting stay at a Japanese style hotel, service was impeccable, amazing onsen included in the stay. Recommended to pre-book both breakfast and dinner prior to arrival date as it could get sold out. Live jazz was available in the evening, and massage services were also available (pre-booking recommended as well), good to spend a full day in the hotel to soak up the chill atmosphere and perhaps head out to the beach right in front of the hotel for a stroll!

The breakfast was excellent in terms of quality, variety, and service. The location is excellent, next to the beach and a mountain. The staff were all helpful and friendly, even though I arrived many hours before check-in.

The staff cleared away my breakfast before I had finished eating, when I left my table to get more food. The bed was comfortable but I had the impression that it was not as long as advertised. I am only 173 cm tall, but my feet were hanging out. During the spring vacation week, when I stayed, the hotel was filled with families with very young and very noisy children, who were encouraged to run around, scream, and bump into things. Many children and adults talked very loudly in the corridors outside my room, even quite late into the night, which I found inconsiderate.
