🌟 Review: Hotel Baia Di Nora, Sardinia
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Baia Di Nora – a four-star hotel that truly exceeded our expectations.
🏝️ Surroundings & Garden
The hotel’s garden and surroundings felt like a small oasis – beautifully maintained, lush, and peaceful. It was conveniently close to the beach, making it easy to enjoy both the sea and the pool area.
🏊 Pool Area
The pool area was lovely and well-designed, perfect for both relaxation and swimming.
🧹 Cleaning & Service
The cleaning was of a high standard, and everything was fresh and tidy throughout our stay.
🍽️ Food & Half Board
We had half board, and the food included was very good. One of us followed a gluten-free diet, which was handled very professionally and thoughtfully by the kitchen staff.
👨💼 Staff
The hotel may be rated four stars, but the staff were five-star! Exceptionally professional and friendly service – we truly felt welcomed.
🚌 Transport
It was easy to take the bus from the hotel to Pula, which made excursions simple and convenient.

Right at the beach. Beautiful garden.
Sound-isolation between rooms is non-existent. Far away from the city and restaurants. Very small bathroom.

Very beautiful garden.
The beach is fine, clean though not very large, the entrance in the sea is with some stones (not critical) but if you go 50 m left or right, there is a sandy entrance.
Free sunbeds (very rare in Italy)!
They provide also towels, the first set is free, if you change - 3 euros per towel.
Free parking.
There are cheap bicycles to rent if you want to go around.
Nice swimming pool, however closed for lunch time.
The hotel is old but very well maintained, the rooms are clean and tidy. Some of them with a very uncomfortable bathroom and small shower.
- There is zero isolation. We could hear the toilets flushing of all our neighbors. The birds wake you up at 5. But the worst is the staff… They do not respect any silence, they wake you up at 8 by chatting loudly in front of the rooms and by doing noise with their cleaning stuff, banging and throwing things around. I opened once the door in pyjama to show them that they woke me up, but they do not care at all. They continued their business.
- The food. The breakfast is very poor for a 4* hotel, i had a feeling I was in a hostel. You get every day the same : tomatoes, carrots, salad, cucumbers, some fruits (that end up so fast and the replacement is soo loooong, that you never get them), yogurts, boiled eggs and some ham and cheese, pastries. No fried eggs, and 0 varieties. In the evening they pretend to serve you a gastronomical dinner with a choice of dishes from the menu that they change every day. Could be okey, but the food was not at the level. I must admit the fried suckling pig was excellent (they do it every Wednesday).
- The staff. Reception is okey, beach also. But the restaurant staff i found horrible. I must though admit they work very hard. But they have 0 consideration when you enter the restaurant. We stand the first day for 10 minutes as there were no tables and also thinking that they place you for breakfast. They passed 15 times in front of us - nothing, no reaction. In all other places if the waiter sees you struggling to get a table they will come to you and help. For the evening you have an assigned table, so it’s okey. Also they don’t explain you how it works in their restaurant, in the beginning we were lost. In all restaurants of the world if they see you just seated, usually they come to ask for drinks / coffee. Here 0 reaction, you have to catch somebody to get something. And it is difficult to catch someone.
- We noticed that if you are an Italian or you speak Italian, you are treated much much better.

The rooms are great and the location next to the beach is brilliant. The swimming pool with the bar in it is a really nice touch. You can rent bikes for 2 euro an hour which is useful.
The food is very poor. This might be our own fault, but we felt it was a bit like an old folks home, we were in our early 30s and for 3 of our 7 nights were by far the youngest people in the hotel. Also, my wife's engagement ring went missing and the hotel didn't seem to care - this obviously put a dampener on our entire trip.
