It's not a hotel (they just provide the room all rest is a short walk away in an other Hotel) but we were still very happy with our stay. The staff at the nearby Mountain Lodge were very helpful with taking care of our needs, helping us out and delivering a killer breakfast. TV functioning is very complicated.
Complicated TV. Even if very clean, poorly lit rooms and old carpets give a creepy feel.

Very nice friendly hosts and breakfast was great.
Nice sized room, nice and quiet being back off the road.
Not really close to anything like supermarket or variety of restaurants, eateries etc.
Being Switzerland it's on the expensive side.

Excellent location for a 4night stay to explore this beautiful area.
Confusing on arrival in that check in, breakfast and reception were at an adjacent property. We were told that the e restaurant would be closed throughout our stay so had to drive three miles to find a (lovely) restaurant.

Friendly staff. Good food.
A little dated and a bit expensive for location.

The room we stayed in was on the second level with a balcony and a nice view of the mountains. There was a kettle in the room to make coffee or tea and a nice welcome note from the owner along with chocolates on the pillow and 2 bottles of water. Check in was easy and in the restaurant directly in front of the hotel. We slept with the windows open and there were flies and mosquitos that buzzed our ears all night. The breakfast was very good and there was a large selection to choose from including boiled eggs, breads, jelly, cereals, yogurt, deli meats and cheeses. There is soap/shampoo for the shower and bathroom (no conditioner).
If you travel with a FireStick or other HDMI device, the TV (at least in our room) had a password on it so you could not change the source to HDMI. Never seen that before, the staff tried to help but did not know the password. Like most places in Switzerland, the room has no AC, so you have to leave the window open. We brought small USB fans which I highly recommend if you travel to Switzerland in the summer.

Lovely balcony overlooking the mountains. Parking down a little side street. Room & bathroom were a good size
This hotel is about 2km away from.Sedrun town so we walked to stretch our legs. There's pavement all the way & a gentle incline. The hotel also has a restaurant if you don't want to travel where we had breakfast the following morning, which was very good.
Check in & directions (via the Booking.com link) were a little confusing - you check in via Mountain Lodge, which is also where you get breakfast and check out. The rooms are up a set of steps, or via the next road (where you park).

Step into a realm of unparalleled opulence and be prepared to have your expectations surpassed beyond imagination. My recent stay at Casa La Val has left me in awe, and I cannot help but share my absolute delight with fellow travelers seeking the epitome of hospitality and luxury.
From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in an aura of grandeur. The hotel's elegant façade and welcoming staff set the tone for an extraordinary experience. As I stepped into the lobby, a warm and gracious reception awaited me. The check-in process was seamless and efficient, leaving me with the immediate impression that this hotel truly values their guests' time.
Entering my room was like stepping into a sanctuary of perfection. The attention to detail in the room's design was impeccable, and the ambiance exuded both sophistication and comfort. What struck me immediately was the undeniable sense of cleanliness that permeated every corner of the room. The housekeeping team deserves accolades for their dedication to maintaining pristine conditions. Every day, returning to a spotless room was an absolute pleasure.

Spacious room in the backyard, quiet. Curious goats on the opposite site of the small street. Small nice village, but close to the bigger Sedrun.

Beautiful location, great classical styling of chalet (the air of wintersport is everywhere) and an incredibly friendly crew who speaks excellent English! Also: possibility of charging my EV!

It has a WONDERFUL position. It is in a very quiet area.

This was a super find and provided a welcoming and friendly overnight stay.
Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was a really good continental buffet that we enjoyed outside on a sunny terrace. The staff were really friendly and made sure we were comfortable.
Although we were there in high summer we also found out this is a growing ski resort which is very tempting for a return visit.
A great find and a great stay.
