La Maison d'Aix 1785 - Hôtel Particulier & Spa

This was a truly wonderful stay. Firstly the team - Emma, Emma 2, Orphée and Moufida were kind, attentive, lovely, funny and great hosts. Before we stayed they booked us in at the restaurants I wanted to eat at that only took reservations by phone - my French isn’t that good! They then looked after us so well while we were there - like sorting out taxis that hadn’t turned up! This is not like your typical hotel. There is no 24 hour reception or parking, or a breakfast buffet full of tourists …. It’s a small, boutique hotel with a personal touch. It’s very quiet, beautifully decorated, full of fresh flowers every day, in a great area. The breakfasts are lovely (you have to order the day before) and they did us gluten free options too. our room was super comfortable as well with air con and a view of the garden - and a dog on a balcony too! (Photos are all of places less than 5 mins from the hotel)

An extra chair in the room would have been nice, so we could both sit and relax. But this is a minor quibble. At £400 a night this was a special treat for us - we know Aix is expensive and if you can afford it, it is worth it.

Most of all, the staff was incredible, always going above and beyond. Also, the ambiance from the moment you enter: like a dream, soft French music, beautiful decor, and the scent of fresh flowers everywhere -- top quality and attention to every detail in a perfect location!

Everything was truly perfect.The staff exceptionally nice, specially the manager Emma and Orphee , which arranged our stay to be absolutely perfect.Thank you again!
