Lovely pleasant hotel, in a great location for our needs

Matress and pillows where very hard and you had to wait for replenishment of breakfast items

We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were beautiful meals. That even catered well for the teenagers. The rooms were very comfortable and we had the best nights sleep. The rooms were so clean. We stayed here for Warner Bros Studios the next day which was only a few minutes drive from there. Super easy for parking and we loved the grounds to have a stroll around.

The buildings and grounds were beautiful and in a lovely location. We attended for a work event and the venue was perfect and made for some beautiful pictures. The room was well air conditioned.

When we checked in at 3 pm, we went down to our room and had to traverse a complete mess in the corridor. Housekeeping was busy with the rooms, but there were carts and piles of laundry everywhere. To make this worse, there were lots of trays of last night's dinners still in the corridor too. It was 33 degrees that day, so not something you wanted to see. When we got in the room, we used the bathroom only to find that there were someone else's toothpaste and brush marks still all over the side. The towel rail was rusty, and there was a massive chunk missing from the bathroom top. We had issues with the basin not releasing the water and had to sit with the sink full, and to boot, the tap never went cold, it was warm or hot, not pleasant to brush your teeth. The tea station had to be pulled out and moved to use it, as there were no plugs where it was situated. Sadly, the dirty trays of food were still in the corridor at 6 when we left the room to attend our event, and we were greeted by them once again when we turned at 12:30 am. So, for over 24 hours, they had been left there, really not good. Breakfast was a non-event, with being asked by the sign to wait to be seated, only to have to seat ourselves as there was no one to see us in. The room was so hot it was horrible to eat in. We had to seat ourselves and help ourselves to the buffet as no one was there to make an order off the menu. For the venue and price, we expected a lot more. At the event, we were shocked at how the catering staff were terrible. The food was cold and disorganised. We had someone with allergies, and I had to constantly check that what was being given was safe. When asked, one of the staff said he was 99% sure, so thankfully our guest wasn't the 1%. The team became extremely rude as the event went on. It seemed there was only a handful of staff serving the 800 or so attendees. The water kept running out, remembering it was 33 degrees.
