perfect choice for Buzios

The highlight of the place was the personnel, who tried to do their best to make me feel welcome. I arrived in the early morning, well ahead of check-in time, straight from the airport, but they really tried to provide a room immediately, so I can get some rest. I was actually offered an upgrade upon arrival, with ocean view. Unfortunately... everything is great at that hotel, except for... sound insulation. My new neighbor (local, and not jet-lagged) started singing loudly in his room, and his awful interpretation of "Corazon Espinado" cut short any attempt to get some early rest. Therefore, I asked to be put back to the original, less fancy but remote and quiet room, and I had excellent rest every night. Breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the ocean was really tasty, the beach right below, and access to my conference location (Atlantico Buzios) within 5 walking minutes.

As above-mentioned: sound insulation must be improved. Also - no resident hummingbird (there is an empty sugarwater dispenser, though ;-) Last but not least - the personnel was really great, friendly and accommodating... but not really skilled in languages other than Portughese and perhaps Spanish... languages I partially understand, but, well... why would people working in tourism not want to be fluent in English (or, for the matter, French - everyone in Buzios is mad about Brigitte Bardot, until it comes to speaking French...)

Appalling service, shocking communication and decent parking

Great location and an enjoyable breakfast. Good parking.

I was notified that the pool was under maintenance on the way to the hotel. On Sunday morning I was woken up by building work next to my room, during my shower the hot water stopped. I went to reception to discuss the situation with the manager but she refused to speak to me. I asked them to contact me later and they haven’t.

A wonderful hotel

The location and the hotel itself. It's very well taken care of and maintained. The owner really cares about the hotel and it shows. We absolutely loved it here.

The hotel is older so you don't get some items like a smart TV or a quiet modern mini fridge. That being said, the positives outweigh the negatives by far.

Awesome location. Near everything, but far enough to enjoy the quiet beauty of the sunset beaches.

The location is about four stories (80 steps) above the beachfront walkway with great sunset views. 24 hour security, where the small staff know you and "buzz" you back into the property. Plenty of outdoor and socializing place with hotel service.

If staying in downtown Buzios - then you'll hear loud music in the evenings. Good news, it stopped each night by 10 pm. The hotel has a local vibe and old world spirit that means everything is not perfect - nor new, so embrace it.

Todo, el lugar es maravilloso, super cerca de todo, tiene salida la costa casi frente a Briggitte Bardot donde esta lleno de restaurantes hermosos,. Las instalaciones perfectas, impecables y a todo lujo. También las caipiriñas y comer ahí es muy buen precio y buena calidad y por último tiene piscina temperada y con vista a toda la Bahía. Simplemente maravilloso
