Location was great
The staff were fantastic on reception, in the bar and at breakfast.
We had a fantastic stay and would 100% come back.

it would be nitpicking to be critical.
food - my wife is a vegetarian and was of the opinion that choices for her were limited/ unimaginative.

Breakfast was lovely and room was comfy. Staff were very attentive
That the spa was closed with no reduction in price. Really wanted to use the spa.

Location
Spa wasn’t open and breakfast just buffet. For the price it should have included English breakfast too

Service in the hotel was very good and staff were very friendly. The view from our room was also very good.
More non seafood/fish options in the main restaurant dinner menu. The weather unfortunately wasn't the best so the view was a little spoiled.

The room and the view from our room. Very friendly staff
That the spa was closed for refurbishment and we wasn't informed by booking.com

The Hotel called me the day before we were due to arrive and told me that the entire Pool and SPA complex would be closed for 4 - 6 weeks. We tried to re arrange a latter visit in April which the Hotel wanted to charge us an addition £330.00 for we had to cancel our break. This was a surprise break for my wife's 70 birthday and it was completely spoilt. I have also paid a booking charge to Booking.com which I would like back please

Location by the sea
Good room
complimentary Gin!!
it was winter
Public rooms a bit tired
Outside furniture left lying about gave a poor impression
9.0 / 10.0
The room was fabulous and gin was a really nice touch. You thought of everything :)
I used the gym and there was whinging noise that was quite irritating. It would be good to have this fixed.
The other thing that would make the gym good is if there was a foam roller to stretch with after completely the exercise. They are not expensive and would be a great value.

Location
The property is dated and the staff were not friendly, welcoming or helpful (often rude ignoring us and made us feel unwelcome). The hotel didn’t seem busy so we can’t imagine what it would be like in peak season. We ordered drinks three times and nearly an hour later they still hadn’t arrived, and the waiter just laughed and said “oops”. Very expensive for the service and amenities. The pool area needs updating and more seating. It was a shame as we were really excited about visiting.

Cleanliness, decor,
The fact that spa facility was closed on one of the days, no price reduction

All staff helpful and well trained in excellent customer service. Very comfortable beds, spacious warm bathroom with bath and shower. Complementary gin and water in room. High quality toiletries. Very good breakfast.
The location is wonderful, just a short walk from Mudeford Quay.
Very boring car park view but I had suspected that, given the reasonable price we paid! (If you are staying here for any length of time or a special occasion I would recommend paying for a sea view.)
Compared to other spa hotels the pool was somewhat underwhelming, smaller and shallower than we had expected. Steam room unbearingly hot but maybe some people can cope with that! Women's changing room also had a few challenges, I couldn't get hot water in the shower and couldn't make the locker work despite following instructions to the letter (I have been to many spa hotels and never had a problem). Luckily our room was very near so I went back there for a very good shower.

Best location and an escape from London less than 2 hours away.
Bossy Arsenal security staff who was an unwelcome and unfriendly first person to greet me at the entrance due to an event they had.

Our room was very comfortable, as was the bed. All very clean.
Breakfast and dinner were delicious.

We know the hotel well as we own a beach hut on the spit. It was an ideal location for us to check on the hut out of season
It was cold due to boiler issues but the staff were super helpful with oil filled radiators etc.
7.0 / 10.0
Bed was comfortable and bathroom facilities were good with shower having great hot water pressure. It was also good to have the 2x Complimentary bottles of water.
On entering the room each time there was a slight smell which was not welcoming but not unpleasant enough for us to make a fuss or complain . The bar food was average and felt overpriced. We were surprised to learn that breakfast included in the booking was continental only and £10pp was required for a hot/cooked breakfast. However the selection of the continental breakfast was pleasantly various.

Great helpful staff, nice breakfast. Annexe room was nicely decorated. Overlooked the car park.
The annexe appears to have no sound proofing between floors so anyone in the rooms above sound like they're in your room. It's possible to hear every word of a conversation, visit to the bathroom etc, even though they weren't especially noisy. The room was also very cold at night despite the radiators being on. If I stayed again I would NOT stay in the annexe.

Beautiful situation with lovely walks along the coast. A little bit out of Christchurch centre but quiet. We only stayed overnight in the annex (131) which had no view, but was an exceptionally nice room. The only thing that let it down a bit was the cold bathroom (floor especially) and only one radiator working in the bedroom. However the bed was heavenly and we’d happily stay there again. Dinner was in The Jetty restaurant which was pricey BUT the food was delicious and service discreetly excellent. Highly recommend for a treat.

The room with view over the harbour was lovely and well appointed.
The Spa and treatments were excellent
Breakfast was very disappointing and I was not expecting to have to pay extra for cooked food with an additional service charge!
The choices for the continental breakfast were exceptionally poor for a hotel of this quality.

The location is lovely - room well fitted out and decorated. complimentary gin a welcome surprise and being brought ice and lemon early evening was unexpected but a lovely touch.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Decoration throughout hotel was of a high standard.
Upper deck restaurant - excellent food
Limited relaxation space in spa area without going into a separate quiet room. Pool and steam room were lovely though.
Wasn't told breakfast was continental unless we ordered off a separate menu and charged.
We were happy with the continental but for the price of the overnight stay, it should warrant a full breakfast being included - in my opinion.

Location was perfect for sea views . Fabulous room and bed was super comfortable . Jerry restaurant was exceptional
Staff over promised and under delivered . We were told there were robes in the roll which we could use to walk to the spa however there were no robes . At check in we were told that between 5 and 6 someone would be round to provide ice and lemon to go with the complementary gin, however this never happened . Gluten free options at breakfast were not available unless asked for and then it was only toast . Breakfast Restaurant felt dated

Everything! We really couldn't fault this hotel in any way!!!! Really fantastic.

Comfy spacious room.
Our main purpose in booking this hotel was to make use of the spa but the hydro pool was out of order and the space was small for what it was.
When we arrived there was no parking in the car park and had to leave the car parked on a side road until we could get a space later on that evening. A lot of cars had double parked which made it very confusing for us on arrival.
On checkout we were presented with a bill for dinner. We did not eat dinner at the hotel. Surely a guest signs with their surname and room number so not sure how this mistake happened. This made the experience disappointing.

Nice extra touches like gowns and slippers. Complimentary gin. Staff couldn’t do enough for you, high standard of customer service. Food was to a high standard. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great cocktails!
Unfortunately a lot of the spa facilities were not working, hot tub, steam room. Spa area definitely needed an update. Gym was misleading on the pictures, describing it as a modern gym with up to date equipment was not the case, which was a shame, considering the price tag you pay to stay per night, it’s all part of it, it did let our stay down.

It’s in a lovely location.
You are told breakfast is included in the price when you book but when you arrive you are then told it’s an extra £10 each. When we paid for breakfast, we paid £22.50 (including the service charge).
Someone walked into our room in the night. You have to make sure your room door is double locked from the inside.
The parking spaces are very limited.
This was our 3rd visit. We last visited 3 years ago. We noticed the cleaning standards have dropped.

Our duvet was rather heavy, a choice of weight would be appreciated.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Phil, Rodrigo and Dennis were all great when being served dinner or drinks. We have stayed many times here and have always been very happy with the location and comfort of the hotel. We always relax as soon as we arrive . Highly recommend .

The location is fantastic, right on the water's edge, with a great view of Christchurch harbour. The rooms were nicely furnished. The continental breakfast was good. The staff were helpful. The delivery of ice and limes, plus free gin, were a great touch!
The room was superheated and quite small. There was some mould in the bathroom, in the shower - generally it was a bit tired. The position of the bathroom door vs the wardrobe was tricky.
