    Stayed at this hotel for two nights at end of my eight days trip. It is not traditional Japanese Onsen hotel. The room is spacious and view is oh, killing me. The only thing is that they do not provide water fountain for drinking water and there is no grocery store within 15 to 20 minutes walk distance. (you walk all the way back to Atami train station) So, buy water before you get on their shuttle bus. Staff are kind and nice, onsen is nice, food (I had dinner and breakfast in the hotel) are superb. Register the shuttle taking you to train station in the morning and hop on one of their afternoon shuttles back to hotel. Thank you Ooedo Onsen Monogatari Hotel, I had great memories.

    Beware, this hotel does NOT show up correctly in Google Maps! The correct location is shown on Agoda. Google Maps will take you to another hotel run by this company that is walking distance from Atami Station. This is NOT that hotel, and it's very far from the station! The hotel has a shuttle from Atami Station, but it only runs a few times a day. We ended up taking a cab to the hotel because we would have had to wait a long time for a shuttle. We also had to take a cab back to the station because the shuttle reservations were filled early in the morning. Basically, plan to take a cab both ways. We really enjoyed our stay, especially the gorgeous view from our room. We got to use the outdoor bath at night, but I wish we'd tried it during the daytime to see the view. The baths were really lovely. We liked the buffet, but our only complaint is that they stopped putting out food about 30 minutes before the end of the last seating, so if you are a slow eater, you may find yourself with few options at the last time slot. Overall, we felt this was a good value for what we paid.

    No wifi except for the first floor. But honestly who needs it? This place is not what you're looking for as far as a bougie vacation but holy heck if you're looking for an 80's vibe like Circus Circus/cruise ship vibes in a Wes Anderson film, this is your place. Extremely clean, not the most American friendly as this caters more towards Japanese family trips. And they shouldn't have to cater to foreign tourists because we stink sometimes. The view is worth it all. And the ocean view onsen is what dreams are made of.
