Miramar La Cigale Hotel Thalasso & Spa

Fabulous building, very imposing from outside. Very spacious room and balcony . Large comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Easy parking. Fantastic location.

We didn't get a good night's sleep. Air conditioning and heating system was turned off in the bedrooms. The room was uncomfortably warm. We were advised to open the balcony window. This was a particular problem when a storm blew in, waking us with curtains flapping wildly and loud rattling from the panels and furniture outside. Room security was very poor - the panels separating the balconies were held in place by non-locking clips (that rattled loudly in the wind). The door to the adjoining bedroom was not locked. Toiletries were disappointing for a 5* spa hotel. Hotel branded containers with unremarkable unbranded contents. This was not the service or facility you should expect for a room listed at €620. The spa areas were cold, dirty and disappointing. The Oceanique Spa advertises water heated to 32 degrees - but the water was very much cooler. I did not achieve any benefit from the jets as my muscles were tensed from the cold. I did not stay in the Hamman when I saw a large patch of black mould on the ceiling - looked definitely unhealthy. That area was unmanned and did not feel cared for. The pool upstairs was also chilly - in and around the pool. Few people in the water, and those on cabanas were wrapped up in bathrobes and towels It felt extremely strange to have to walk right through the middle of the dining area in slippers and bathrobe in order to access the upstairs pool area! Quite uncomfortable to have to walk back when dripping wet...

We liked the spatious, clean room with a view to the see. We liked the worm swimming pool on 4th floor.

The jacuzzi water could have been wormer and massage of jacuzzi on the sides didn't work. The floor around the swimming pool is extremely slippery, either needs mats or other abrasive material. My son fell, luckily nothing happened but if adult slips concecvances can be life long injury.

Did not reach 5 star service, facilities or management of the loud music that blared from an adjoining facility for 10-12 hours a day

nothing to do with 5 star…90ies idea of luxury hot, chlore smell, artificial, restaurant overlooking dirty indoor pool, buffet without letting us know we left after one night…this is ok, but not for this price level. total mismatch between positioning and product. somebody should urgently correct it, sorry

The hotel is very clean, modern, quiet. Lovely rooms. Friendly staff, very fast room service. We were very happy to spend a full week at this hotel and enjoyed the many Spa treatments available.

There is only one option for breakfast at 25 eur person so quite expensive if you just want coffee and toast. There is only one restaurant for lunch and dinner and again expensive. Overall the food budget was far more expensive than any other Spa we have stayed at. The only other disappointment was that there is a lovely bar but no healthy smoothies or detox options
