Very good location, ample parking, very good breakfast, staff.

Welness facilities were nice, but not enough rest loungers for visitors. Finish style sauna (people in dedicated sauna kilts/towels) preferable to swimsuit from plastics ( not designed for heat). Water fountain not working.

Clean and spacious room in a nice, green location, close to the hiking trails. Really nice breakfast.

Room was not ready upon arrival. Some staff members were not particularly friendly, which was a shame.

I did not appreciate that the rooms advertised and what was allocated seemed very different. The rooms were dated and I had requested walk in showers to accommodate my mother and that was not offered

Nice surroundings, staff & restaurant/bar

The hotel room and mattress are very warm even with the window open. The room is spacious, but it could use some updates. There is a broken card holder for the electricity, and the bathroom accessories are incomplete. The chairs in the breakfast room need to be replaced, but the breakfast itself was great! Considering that we were in a luxury room, I feel that the value for money for this room is not justified.

Absolutely lovely setting and architecture. Fantastic spa and great bar/restaurant.

The level of English was surprisingly low considering that 95% of Dutch (or people working in the Netherlands) speak great English. Not a big issue but slightly frustrating - apart from that perfect.

Nice hotel

Nice hotel close to Vaals and to Aachen, which was the goal of our trip. Very good breakfast. Parking in front of the hotel, which is very convenient.

That's not a castle and it is rather expensive. The swimming pool is relatively small.

Overall a pleasant stay but hotel has room for improvement

Friendly staff that was super accommodating to our requests (cot in the room for our baby, extra pillows, late check-out). The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Parking was easy. The location is great for exploring the region. Lots of beautiful walks in the area.

The rooms were very basic and felt a bit outdated. I missed the usual amenities that one would expect from a 4-star hotel. The balcony was a big disappointment as you are basically sharing it with all of your neighbors and have no view whatsoever. The room faced a noisy road but luckily it quieted down at night.

Cold pool water

The hotel is nice. The nature and the environment is very beautiful. The breakfast was good.

The only indoor activity that we can do was swimming, that is okey but the pool was cold. The bubble bath was not working. The temperature of the water was really low. My 2 years old son likes a lot swimming but he got cold and the last day we didn't want to swim. We had still time but we checked out. And there is nothing for small children, they can make in the loby or in the restaurant a small playing corner with some toys and books for children.

Great hotel for a special stay.

Comfortable and spacious hotel. Huge room with comfy beds. Fantastic breakfast with gluten free options.

Pool and wellness area was a little crowded. Also the water machine at the fitness room was broken and no alternative water source was made available.

there is a castle but the rooms are not in the castle. they are situated on a more recently made wing. we didn’t expect that.

The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The castle and surroundings are beautifully kept.

Breakfast is in the castle itself, so you have to walk there. Not a big deal though
