A modern and tranquil forested retreat
Owls' Nest is a lovely all-season hideaway tucked into a quiet mountainside neighborhood. A favorite of ours and our guests, this special retreat is ideal for a single family or friends traveling together.
Thoughtfully designed, this new construction home is light and bright, with windows galore framing the mountains and surrounding forest. The home offers three bedrooms with beds to sleep up to eight, two full bathrooms, two spacious living areas, a gas fireplace, and a well-equipped gourmet kitchen. Each room is well-appointed and delivers a fresh approach to mountain living. The wrap-around deck, with gas grill and firepit below, invites you outside—you might even hear the hoot of a resident Barred Owl, the namesake of the home.
This sanctuary in the forest is conveniently located less than 4 miles to the slopes and five miles from Stowe Village—so close to all that the area has to offer. During the summer months, a stay includes access to a community pool and tennis courts. The Mill Trail, a gentle trail along the river to Bingham's Falls, is just a minute down the road—it's a local favorite for hiking and snowshoeing! Pets are welcome at Owl's Nest, and we bet they'll love all the outdoor exploration!

All pets must be pre-approved during the booking process. An additional pet fee and addendum is required.
Winter in Vermont brings snow, icy roads, and occasional storms. An AWD or 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended to book this property. Please drive carefully and ensure your vehicle is properly equipped for winter conditions.

Great, modern, clean house in the mountain road in Stowe. Really great location with great view and easy access to the mountain. House was awesome. Kitchen well equipped and plenty of towels. It stormed the day we arrived and the driveway and walk were plowed. Only observation is that the house could use some hook to hang ski gear! Otherwise a great house and would stay again.

Owls Nest was nestled in the beautiful hills just far enough away from the crowds in Stowe to provide the feeling of a beautiful nature retreat! It was spotless, quiet, well-furnished, cozy and had a fabulous deck for enjoying the outdoors! It was a wonderful location for exploring and close enough to slip into town to enjoy one of the many wonderful restaurants!

The location of Owl’s nest was just perfect. Easy stream and trailhead access, close to the mountain and not a long ride to the rec path. The pool was exceptional! The hosts were so welcoming and friendly! It was a great family vacation.

We were a party of 6, four adults and 2 dogs.
The house is very well designed, from living spaces to the overall flow; it is not huge, but it feels very spacious. The owners keep it in excellent shape. Everything worked well, everything was clean, and it was a very pleasant experience. The area around the house, with a good sign at the entrance of the driveway, so finding the property was very easy.
My dogs enjoyed the balcony, and as it can be closed with a small gate, it was very convenient for everybody. The EV car charger by the parking area supplied about 32A, allowing for efficient charging overnight.
The storage cabinet outside seems very useful for skis or other muddy items. The WiFi went out one night, due to an outage from the cell provider, but we were aware this could happen.
Nitpicking, the entryway would benefit from coat hangers, as the landing has little room, specially since the door swings inward. King sized beds would be welcome in the master bedroom.
We would stay again at this property. Heck, if it went on the market, I'd make an offer.
