Galaxy is in the perfect position for exploring the city centre on foot. Our room was large with a balcony which had a view looking out over the sea to mainland Greece. The front desk staff were helpful suggesting where to go to eat or find a supermarket or laundry, marking these on the city map which was supplied. They were also helpful with the sometimes quirky power and air conditioning in the room. The included full breakfast provided a wide selection of hot and cold food. All dining and house staff were helpful and happy to please.

We had a room with a balcony looking over the main pedestrian street with a view of the marina in one direction and a view of the stairs leading up to the castle in the other. An extra chair was provided when requested so we could enjoy the location.

The location is in the pedastrian zone and hence very central. It is also only a short stroll to the seaside for nice sundowners.
It is very noisy from the street and from air conditioning systems around. The hotel is also still open to smokers, so not all rooms have a nice scent. Breakfast is very basic but fair in price.
