Woodland Home near Long Pond w/ Spacious Living Area, Full Kitchen & Deck

The house was very clean and well stocked. Great location to all the places we wanted to go. The grounds were beautiful, very well kept. Only one other house close to us so that was a plus.

We are small people but the double bed was just to small. Looking at the pictures we thought we could see the lake from the porch but due to trees and another house in front we just had a glimpse. There is a road in front of the house and we knew that but it was a very busy road so noise was a factor If you are a big framed person you would not be able to fit in the shower and shut the door or be comfortable on the bed. Also if you think you're booking with Booking.com they turn it over to Vacasa, just FYI.

This is a charming little cottage with all of the amenities and little touches you could want! The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans, paper goods, dish soap, dishwasher tabs, basic spices, coffee and tea, and even ziplock bags. There is a stove/oven, toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, electric kettle, and stovetop kettle. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus small bars of soap. There's plenty of lighting options in all rooms. The TV has a built-in DVD player and there are some DVDs provided as well as games such as Scrabble and Monopoly. There are three portable fans available as well, and plenty of pillows. The location was convenient to both Acadia and Bar Harbor - about 20 minutes driving to each (east side of Acadia near Cadillac Mountain). We even had a doe and small buck outside our window one morning!

There was a bit of a musty odor inside when we first arrived, but after having the windows open and cooking a meal, it dissipated. There is also a bit of road noise but we used a fan at night and the white noise helped to mask it. We were fine with the cozy size, but larger people may struggle a bit, especially with the bathroom and shower. I would have liked a couple more wash cloths being we were there for three days.

It’d be useful to equip the house with a mosquito repellant device of some sort but everything else was amazing and well-organized.

Beautiful and quiet location. The cabin was cozy and furnished with love and attention to detail. Felt like home away from home. The Long Pond is steps away.
