There was a rotten fish smell in the staircase. Lots of mosquitos. Theres not much to Do around

Waking up with the sound of the waves, having breakfast on the beach, chill atmosphere, very sweet staff, nice food and amazing cookies, the best sunsets... 💖 Love the quiet areas where you can walk to from here... Stunning coast, be careful of the strong current at times though! 🌴🌸🦋☀️🌊⛱️

The property has a great location on the beach, as well as the hammocks out the front which are a nice touch.

There was construction in the room next to us and above us from 7:30am - 5pm the entire stay, which made us cut our trip short. When asked if it would be less the day after we arrived as we noticed it, we were told yes, but it was the same, if not louder the next day, with power tools, drilling, grinding, etc. All of which was very audible and you could feel from the bed throughout the day, and woke us up in the mornings. Which was actually a hard task, as we were pretty exhausted post Ciudad Pérdida trek! We completely understood the rationale in trying to keep business going while making completely new rooms, but when the walls are so thin it really becomes hard to justify to the guests staying there. If we had been warned in advance, or the owner had let us know when we arrived that it might be a good idea to go out during the day while the construction happened that would have been different, however we were told that it would only be light hammering and hand tools, and then for that to not be true was a bit sad, and dampened our “relaxing beach retreat” post trek. If you are going to stay in this beautiful area, consider whether you want to stay in the accomodation during the day as there are not many accomodations completely finished, or not next to a new renovation.
