To be permitted to stay in someone's house, surrounded by antiques with a beautiful view of the garden from rooms the size of some one-bedroom apartments in many a metropolis, and yet all facilities top notch, modern bathrooms, wifi, the bed very comfortable , the linen high end, bathroom toiletries we liked so much we just ordered online, cleanliness, the breakfast in the park, all elegant without being stuffy, all immaculate without being a museum, this is someone's home and for some very fortunate few hours, it can be ours too, we have already plans to come back, doesn't that say it all?
Nothing, it all was just perfect.

Beautiful chateau, very comfortable large room, nice bed, very pretty garden, pool. Great owner available to help, give advice about places to eat, to see. We enjoyed our stay very much.

This is an authentic experience of an eighteenth century chateau with young, energetic, owner who, because of his fluency in English and his sensibilities, makes the best possible concierge you can imagine for visiting Aix and the surrounding area. We had very little plan of what to do when we arrived, but managed, with the assistance of Clement, to pack our few days in Aix with some amazing experiences. Clement’s guidance made all the difference.

The hotel was superb and Clement was very friendly and helpful. We were travelling in April and booked a last minute booking for two nights. We had only checked the location and the pictures of the room when we booked and were expecting a regular nice hotel room in a nice old building. When we arrived to the hotel and saw the interior, our jaws dropped. The chateau looks and feels amazing - the renovation is done with respect to the old building and style and the ceiling height alone gives you a luxurious feeling. Like you were a noble lord in an old castle. As we were travelling in off-season and not all the rooms were booked, Clement kindly upgraded us in the biggest suite of the hotel free of charge. Our suite had a living room that alone is bigger than most hotel rooms in other places and the bedroom was also spacious and wonderfully decorated. The attention to detail continued at the breakfast which consisted only of the highest quality ingredients. The croissants were deliciously crispy and the jams were locally sourced and so good that we decided to buy some of them from the city of Aix-en-Provence to bring home with us. I can imagine that in the summer time, it's also nice to start the morning by eating the breakfast outside in the gardens. All in all our stay at the Chateau was the best during our one week road trip in southern France and we would gladly have stayed even longer had we not already booked the next accommodation.
The only minor downside is that the hotel is located right next to a highway which means that you can always hear a distant sound of cars at the gardens of the chateau. However the walls in the old chateau are so thick that there was no noise inside the hotel and our room was very quiet so the noise did not bother us at all.
