Kendalls Beach House

The location was perfect. The house meet our family needs very well.

I was very disappointed by the complete lack of communication prior to the rental hire. However, once we arrived, I received multiple text messages reminding me of my obligations to the homeowner despite the house already being covered in signs with the same instructions. This constant messaging made it difficult to relax and enjoy the environment, as it felt like "Big Brother" was watching our every move.

Hosts: a few too many emails and messages to start with the booking; however when I realy needed to contact them to pickup keys it was difficilt by phone - only messages could be left (several times). When arriving to their office, the service was excellent. Facilities: very good, some furniture may need a bit of refreshing soon. Cleanliness: rooms and toilets - excellent; kitchen - could be a bit better, but within reason; barbecue - rather dirty, if I had time, I would call for complaint; windows glass was just ok, and window sills are very dirty, for a house with these views this must be rectified. Comfort: excellent Location: great Value for money - 8 out of 10, for the reasons stated above

Location amazing; literally 1 minute from the beach and playground. Amenities adequate, modern TVs and appliances. Pool table and spa a nice addition. Accommodated us and our extended family well. 6 adults and 3 children. Plenty of living space, with board games to play and ample seating.

Sewerage/septic smell on arrival in the upstairs toilet. Reported to hosts, nothing was done. Told that it 'Sometimes happens'. The smell persisted throughout the stay. Was disappointing considering the amount we paid for our stay. Reported it again on the final night, no response. A few small things such as rusted pepper shaker, dirty windowsills, dirty kettle etc.
