We truly loved our stay here: a cosy and welcoming cottage in a magical mountain setting that we would recommend to anyo

What a beautiful cottage! Set in nature halfway up the mountain with stunning views, it is so peaceful and quiet. The house had everything we needed and was very well equipped. It is a perfect base for hikes in the surrounding mountains, and we enjoyed walking to huts such as Valvasorjev dom pod Stolom and Planina Svečica for local food. The wood fire made the evenings extra cosy after a long walk. The owners were very friendly and even helped us bring our baggage to the cottage.

There was nothing bad about the house.

Fantastisch vakantieverblijf!

Wooden Cottage is a fantastic cottage with fantastic owners. Communication was smooth, and the welcome was warm. Fresh flowers were hand-picked for our arrival. The location is truly fantastic.

We didn't have a problem with it, but be aware that the walk from the parking lot to the cottage is 150 meters and quite uphill. There's a small area closer to the cottage, but in our opinion, it's only accessible with a 4x4. If you're a good hiker, book it!

Beyond our expectations

The cottage is amazing. Very cozy, clean, and makes you feel at home. The owner is also very friendly, and helpful. Plus, the location is spectaculair. It was truly an experience we will never forget. Both the cottage to stay at, as Slovenia itself. We had the perfect holiday. Thank you!

Wonderful place

Such a wonderful cottage and location! Hosts couldn’t have been nicer. So friendly and they even took us on a multi-hour mountain hike. The cottage was spotless and fully equipped with everything needed and more. We had the whole mountain meadow to ourselves. Mountains and natural beauty surrounded us. Top quality water.

Last 100 m of road was dirt and steep. If we had 4WD, would have been no problem. Parking was 50 meters away but owner carried our suitcase and food up the hill. Minor issues compared to all the positives.

Cudowne miejsce na łonie natury

Fantastyczne miejsce, doskonałe wyposażenie (m.in. sprzęty kuchenne, przewodniki i mapy, gry i zabawki dla dzieci). Nieskazitelnie czyste. W okolicy świetne szlaki i Dom Pristav z doskonałą domową kuchnią). Cudowne miejsce na łonie natury. Gospodarze bardzo pomocni, prezenta na powitanie i podarowali nam świeżo zebrane grzyby.

Kein Hotelkomfort, aber ein naturnahes kleines Paradies

Wir waren im Juli 2025 für eine Woche im Wooden Cottage und haben uns von Anfang an sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft entsprach genau unseren Erwartungen: einfach, rustikal, sauber und mit einer traumhaft schönen Terrasse mitten in der Natur. Das Cottage liegt abgeschieden auf einer kleinen Bergalm, fernab von jeglichem Lärm. Nachts war es wunderbar still, und die Betten waren bequem. Wir haben sehr gut geschlafen. Die Ausstattung ist schlicht, aber funktional. Eine Spülmaschine gibt es nicht, aber das war uns im Vorfeld bekannt und hat uns nicht gestört. Wer Naturverbundenheit und Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Unsere Kinder waren den ganzen Tag draußen unterwegs und haben die Freiheit in vollen Zügen genossen. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich, haben uns willkommen geheißen und uns mit hilfreichen Tipps zur Umgebung versorgt. Die Kommunikation verlief reibungslos, auch auf Englisch. Für Ausflüge benötigt man ein Auto, da das Cottage etwas abseits liegt. Dafür wird man mit einer einzigartigen Lage inmitten der Natur belohnt. Wir empfehlen das Wooden Cottage besonders für Familien, Wanderfreunde und alle, die Ruhe und Erholung suchen. Unser Fazit: Kein Hotelkomfort, aber ein naturnahes kleines Paradies. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Przyjechaliśmy w 4 osoby i byliśmy zachwyceni tym miejscem. Cisza, spokój i piękny widok! Chce się tam wracać!

Trzeba wziąć pod uwagę planując tam wyjazd: pewnie będziecie musieli kawałek wnieść swoje rzeczy, bo nie da się podjechać samochodem pod sam domek. Dla nas to nie był problem, a samo miejsce jest świetne!
