About this house rental

El Molino Alto welcomes you to the southwest of Gran Canaria, just 4 km from the Mogán coast, for a peaceful stay in a holiday home, with beautiful natural surroundings and pleasant weather all year round. This rural accommodation occupies the upper floor of a traditional building shared with El Molino Bajo, located on a finca with three other holiday rentals — perfect for those who want privacy without complete isolation.



The open-plan interior features two double beds integrated into a cozy living room with satellite TV and dining area. On the other end, there is a bathroom with a shower and a fully equipped kitchen for preparing your favorite meals.



From the living room, you access a private balcony with lovely views of the countryside and, on clear days, the sea. Outside, there’s a terrace with a dining area and two sun loungers, perfect for enjoying the sunshine and tranquility.



About 50 meters away, you’ll find a shared pool with a sun terrace — a relaxing spot to cool off after a day out or to simply unwind.

The complex containing the house was very private and nicely landscaped. It is located in a quiet hamlet a little way of out the main town of Puerto de Mogan. A major plus is the private parking within the complex (very secure with an electric gate), as there is almost no public parking available in this area. There is a dirt track with very little traffic, which we used to walk into town. The top part (Alto) of the house is worth paying a little extra for as you have a private outdoor space which is not overlooked. The pool area contains enough lounging beds and parasols for all of the guests and is a nice place to sit, surrounded by plants. The apartment is bright and airy, with large full-length doors at the front which overlook the valley down to the sea. We found the beds to be comfortable and there is air-con if needed in the main bedroom area. The shower is lovely with a rainfall showerhead. The pool is too cold to use comfortably, even on a warm day - it really needs to be heated in December. The surface around the pool is also very rough and hard to walk around without shoes. The kitchen could be better equipped. It would be helpful to have operating instructions for equipment. Due to its location on a steep hill, the parking is challenging for less confident drivers.

Nice and quiet place. The cleaning before we arrived could be better. Especially in the bathroom, watertaps and shower need a good cleaning, same with mirrors. And the balcony windows as well. It was good with extra towels, but we could do with extra bedlinen as well, since we are doing the washing our self.Since we are doing the cleaning our self, during our stay, it would be good with a small basket with cleaning stuff, and a broom.All in all, a place we would love to come back to.

A nice property with a good view down to the sea. Staying for 2 weeks and spending a few evenings cooking, we thought it was a little under-equipped in the kitchen. No restaurants nearby so you will need a car to get into Puerto Mogán and beyond. The cleaning staff were very kind and helpful, doing some washing for us mid-break.
