10/10! Mimma and Antonio don’t run a hotel — they offer something far more special: an authentic Sicilian experience, the kind usually reserved only for family members and close friends. Those who are willing to embrace the Italian language (and use a translator when needed) will have no trouble communicating with them. We shared many heartfelt laughs together. They also have two sweet truffle dogs and a black cat named Romeo. The dogs welcome everyone, are very well behaved, and run around the property but never entered the apartment where we stayed. Both are artists, and Mimma has adorned the entire property with her beautiful artworks. This creates a truly unique and enchanting atmosphere. Keen observers will even spot her pieces in various places across Sicily. They care for every guest with genuine warmth and go out of their way to make everyone feel truly welcome. Their hospitality turns a simple stay into an unforgettable experience. Important note: Good communication is essential — they can only help if you ask. The pool was the only one we encountered during our four stays in Sicily that was consistently spotless, completely free of leaves and insects. The view is breathtaking, and the entire pool area is impeccably maintained. The included traditional Sicilian breakfast is excellent, especially Antonio’s homemade spreads. However, the real highlight is the optional (extra charge) regional specialties they offer: a wonderful selection of goat and cow cheeses, their own olive oil, freshly prepared lemon salad, delicious bruschetta, and much more. It’s definitely worth planning a little extra budget to fully enjoy everything they have to offer — a rare opportunity not to be missed. There is so much more to discover, and with a bit of luck, Mimma and Antonio will personally show it to you. Mamma und Antonio leben innerhalb eines jahrhundertealten Olivenhains mit ihren beiden Trüffelhunden und ihrem Kater. Alles an unserem Aufenthalt dort war außergewöhnlich – angefangen bei der Gastfreundschaft und Herzlichkeit über die kunstvolle Gestaltung bis hin zum gemeinsamen Töpfern mit Mimma und der Verköstigung durch Antonio bei einem umwerfenden Ausblick von der Terrasse/dem Pool. Es handelt sich um einen absoluten Geheimtipp für ein unvergessliches Urlaubserlebnis. Die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Von dort aus kann man in wenigen Minuten zum nahegelegenen Strand im Naturschutzgebiet gelangen. Taormina ist auch nur etwas mehr als eine Autostunde entfernt gelegen und einen Tagestrip wert.Wir haben uns mehr als wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
