Step out to the private dock for a spectacular view of the 10 mile long and 2 mile wide spring fed, crystal clear depths of Schoodic Lake. Our private dock overlooks picturesque Schoodic Lake, which is perfect for swimming, boating, canoeing, and kayaking. Schoodic Lake is one of the finest Togue fishing spots in the northeast. You can, also, find excellent hunting, hiking, moose and bird watching opportunities in the area. The log cabin rental is only minutes from the public boat launch, Knight’s Landing. Our Maine cabin is ideally situated and fully equipped to ensure that you have a pleasurable getaway in a beautiful setting.
The rustic look of exposed beams and a fieldstone fireplace are complemented by the Maine cabin’s modern amenities. It is a wonderful place for two to six people to escape for a Maine vacation. Schoodic Escape Cabin is equipped with a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, three bedrooms, a family room, a gear room, and a large covered veranda! We have provided an outdoor grill on our deck for cooking and gathering outdoors while overlooking the lake. Awesome cabin in beautiful schoodic lake. We had a great time and everything was easy with the property manager. Only downside was the security system cameras were on and active during our stay which left a feeling of distrust and breach of privacy. Despite this, would stay here again.

It is ok, a bit out of the way. Too far for us to travel to. We should have checked before boking. We did relax, really nothing else to do. We did have a dead mouse (stink) before we left, and the vacuum cleaner needs some work. One chair needed gluing so we couldn't use it. Other than that it was ok. Good for hunters or fishermen. Please add a clock or two and maybe a washer and dyer. Still nice.

Location was great! Internet signal was strong which was necessary because there was no cell service (we had to drive back a few miles to get enough service to look up the door code when we’re were checking in initially). House was missing a few amenities to make it truly comfortable, including air conditioning, washer/dryer, and dishwasher. We stayed during a very hot week (95 degree days), and the windows do not have shades or curtains, so there was no real way to keep the house cool without air conditioning, and the box fans provided didn’t fit in the smaller sized windows. Seriously suggest shades or curtains for the upstairs bedrooms which got past 90 degrees in the afternoon/early evening which can be a health hazard for young kids. Smaller available amenities were bare bones - some spices and plenty of cookware, but no cooking oil, dollar store shampoo/conditioner provided, but no face/body soap. We expected a bit more for the price we were paying.
