About this house rental
Go back in time in this lovely home. The cottage is in a wonderful location for summer fun. You will find yourself across the street from the town beach with a playground, canoe/kayak rentals and a fishing pier. You and your family are also walking distance to tennis and basketball courts, restaurants and soft serve ice cream. The house has three upstairs bedrooms, and one very small downstairs bedroom. There is a large friendly kitchen and a front porch with wonderful views of the water and lighthouse.
Harbor Beach is a working man's town, in addition to our lovely lighthouse there are two factories, There is no real nightlife here, this is a town for family cookouts, enjoying the bike path to the town marina and beyond. It is a place for remembering a simpler time.
Downstairs:
Living room: comfortable seating, 50inch television
Pass Through room: puzzle/game table
Kitchen: Country table, small deck out the back with gas grill, large porch off front with seating
Full Bath with stacked washer and Dryer
Bedroom directly off living room with an accordion door, twin beds
Upstairs
Please Note, this is an old farm house, the stairs are very steep and the hall way is tight , there is a good sized trunk room but no closets in the individual rooms

There are 2 window air conditioners on each floor that help to keep the house dry and cool. There are ceiling fans in all the upstairs bedrooms.

Great location and house. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was the only bed for 2 people was a full size and matress was not good. We ended up sleeping in a room with 2 twins for 4 nights.

Wonderful stay for two families. Kitchen had AMPLE dishes and utensils. Pots, pans, cutting board, grilling utensils, the works. Has a great weber grill. The added bonus of a washer and dryer, which we didn’t need, but great in case we did. There was a beach shower in the back yard with plumbed hot water. That was a nice surprise. Perfect location from the public beach. We got to sit outside on the lawn chairs one night and just listen to the band that was playing at the beach. The beds weren’t the most comfortable, but whatever. Walked into town for some ice cream. Everyone enjoyed the stay. Would stay here again.

The front porch is the place to hang out. View of the beach & lake is very relaxing. The only improvement that we talked of is to have a fire pit on the front lawn with a 20 foot diameter of patio blocks. The stairs are steep but that is the character of a 100 year building.

Beautiful location and house. Very well equipped and spacious. The beach and playground was so convenient for the grands. When our shower wasn’t working the manager fixed it in a few minutes. Super accommodating for sure. Loved the outdoor shower too. Will definitely be back. Thank you for a great vacation!
