About this apartment rental

Cute and modern studio located just steps from the beach. Our unit is recently remodeled with new paint and tile and all brand-new appliances. The unit features one queen bed and one full-sized futon, sleeping a max of 4. We offer everything you'll need to cook in and relax, including a Roku-enabled smart TV with easy access to Netflix and Prime, as well as over 100 cable channels. There is a washer and dryer in unit as well. The condo complex features beachfront access, three pools and an outdoor grilling area. Also, there's an onsite "Sugar Shack" with snacks and drinks. Our place is perfect for couples or small families wanting a cozy retreat.

Other things to know:
**There is a one-time $35 parking fee (cash only) which covers your entire stay.

There is a new building going up next to our complex so you may experience some construction noise and dust during daylight hours.

Room was not nice. Was able to switch to a better room for the duration. Property is older, beach view is not great from the cheaper rooms, no hot tub. Overall not what we expected based on listing and the reviews. Ask extra questions before you book. We will choose another property next time.

If you are good with hotel type accommodations with a small kitchen, this is for you! Bed and futon side by side. Not the most comfortable but will work when you just want to get away!

My wife & I rented this for a quick weekend trip that we do every May. This was the first time staying at this condo. The location to everything was great, Sean answered all our questions and was nice, the pools are good, and the beach is literally right there so always a plus. However, the room was not clean at all. My wife and I ended up going to the store ti get cleaning supplies and laundry detergent. We washed all the sheets, pillow cases, and towels; cleaned all the floors, shower, and countertops. Secondly the A/C unit in the room is pretty much useless. The room never got below 76 because any lower the unit would start making awful noises. The last thing was the view. The pictures made it seem like it was an interior facing balcony and you can see the ocean; that was wrong completely. They are building a huge 20+ story condo next door so you see and hear construction instead of the ocean because the room faces out. Overall happy with owner because they were nice but I will not be staying there again. It would be easier to stay at a hotel so you could at least change rooms if needed.

We enjoyed the condo but the floors were filthy. The bottoms of our feet were black after walking around inside the condo barefoot. The rest of the condo seemed clean so it appeared to be an oversight by the cleaning crew, but it needs a good moping.

Condo was nice, equipped with everything needed, owners were easy to contact. The air conditioning was rather noisy and no convenient outlets/nightstand for my cpap machine. The complex was nice, clean, and convenient. I was definitely disappointed of the construction next to the condo. Was not made aware of that till I received check-in email.

The kitchen sink turns itself on if it’s not pushed far to the right . The shower has mold. All of the cabinets were pretty cheap and did not close all the way. Not enough outlets .

Nice clean place with easy access to and from property. I was not of the understanding that this property was not facing the ocean. Its facing a building and the road. The pictures were a bit misleading. But the property managers were really nice and helpful. I would stay again for sure!

We love going to Orange Beach and this condo is right at the end by the state park. So it’s easy access to both Orange Beach and gulf shores. Plus it’s really nice being on the beach so you don’t have to drive. It worked perfectly for my wife and I plus our son. We would definitely go back. Quick to book and always had quick responses from the owners.

The room itself was cozy but the futon barely sleeps a third adult. We had 2 adults and teenager but still sleeping arrangements were uncomfortable. The owners were very friendly, let me switch the weekend because of a previous hurricane and was very quick to respond to messages. For two adults this room would be lovely but the beach view is very limited like it says. Pools are nice and beach access is as described!

This studio had all we needed for a long weekend trip. The owners were easy to work with. On our day of check in, we had a leak from the unit above us and the owners responded and handled it immediately so it did not disrupt our stay. We really like staying at this building because of the easy beach access, under building parking (no hot car!), Chair/umbrella rental, and the snack shop. Our only recommendation would be some chairs with backs in the unit!

My husband and I along with our 2 small children stayed here and it was comfortable. We stayed busy during the day so didn’t need the room for much other than sleeping and fixing breakfast! So not having the beach view from the balcony was fine. We had tons of fun!

Really sweet and small room! It was just enough space for me, my husband and our little girl! Love the pools and beach access. My only recommendation is to bring bath cloths and extra kitchen towels. Those are the only things I didn’t think about.

Check in was super easy, and the location was great. The condo was clean. BUT my two issues are that 1. That futon was awful and 2. We PAID $25 for covered parking, but there is NOT ENOUGH parking to fit the number of condos. We weren’t able to park under the building in the parking area and had to park in a no parking zone. Thank god we were only there for 2 nights. I enjoyed my stay at the beach overall and the condo was clean, but I definitely don’t see ya choosing to stay at Sugar Beach Condominums as a whole again.

We enjoyed our stay at Sugar a Beach. This is our favorite building because it’s not overly crowded & having four pools and the option to rent beach chairs makes this the perfect little spot.
