Welcome to Our Cozy Adirondack Home!
We were just featured in the 'I HEART NY' official tourism site as one of the 'coolest places in NY to stay!' We couldn't be more proud of this honor!
We’re a large, loving family who adores the Adirondacks—and we’re thrilled to share our second home with you! We are so proud of our house, this gorgeous part of the country, and the New York State official tourist agency recognizing us.
Our home is your perfect base camp for adventure and relaxation. Close to Lake George, Lake Placid, and Gore Mountain, you can explore as much as you want and come back to a cozy private retreat. Schroon Lake offers a gorgeous beach with clear lake water, and in the winter it freezes for ice fishing, ice skating at the town gazebo, and snowmobile tours right across the lake, great fishing, amazing hiking trails, and the Natural Stone Bridges and Caves just down the road. Did I mention there is an adorable 9-hole golf course in Schroon? Super close to the house, and it's gorgeous! In the winter, it doubles as a cool place to sled and take the kiddos! As travelers ourselves, we’ve done our best to create a rental that makes your stay as easy, carefree, and comfortable as possible.
Your Adirondack Getaway
Our house is thoughtfully equipped for families and groups. Enjoy:
. A fully stocked kitchen and main living area with air conditioning for warmer days (though it’s rarely needed in the mountains).
. All bedrooms with box fans and blackout curtains for peaceful, cool sleep.
. New, clean bedding, pillows, and blankets throughout.
. A gas grill and a wraparound front deck with seating—perfect for coffee or outdoor dining.
. A private back deck with comfortable seating for relaxing or stargazing.
. A playroom with ping pong, pool, and games.
. Two living rooms for spreading out.
. Smart TVs in every room, excellent Wi-Fi, and Sling TV.
. A 4-season hot tub, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, and plenty of free firewood.
All-Season Fun
Summer: Bicycles, a kayak, fishing poles, beach chairs, and a beach cart. The Schroon town beach is less than 1.5 miles away, and parking is free!
Winter: Sleds for the kids and that cozy hot tub after a snowy day. Our house is located on the Adirondack Snowmobile trail, and you can ride your snowmobiles (or rent from C&C rentals in town) from our driveway right onto the trail for hundreds of miles!
New mini cabin: A charming hideaway with a full bed, twin mattress, heat, electricity, and a smart TV.
We’ve tried to think of everything to make your stay easy, fun, and memorable. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Every year we all get together for a family weekend visit in Schroon Lake. This is the second time we have stayed at this property. It is perfect for our fairly large group, and has plenty of space for all of us. The teenagers love the hot tub and also love the pool table and Pac-Man! The family room/dining/kitchen is large enough for everyone to hang out, and the south facing deck is a great spot for hanging out in the sun. We love that it is close to town and the lake, but it is also in the woods and very secluded - you can't even see a neighbor. Hopefully we will stay here again next year! The host was very accommodating and got back to me quickly when I had a small problem with the dishwasher. Great place!

We loved our stay at The Loose Moose! It was absolutely perfect for our multi family getaway. The hosts were amazing, super communicative and accommodating. We would absolutely stay there again!
